A day after turning away many of us for boosters we're told boosters are the best protection against omicron

I was turned away from my booster and can't rebook on the main system.
I will persist, although mine woll now be well into january. How many people will just think screw it?
Why hasnt this been picked up by the bbc?

Rebooked! It's for thursday but is close to home, if i get turned away again no problem.

Thanks @Cookerhood, I'll bear that in mind if we've still not had our boosters by the next time we visit England. Can't really go just for that, it'd be a 12+ hour round trip.

@Corrag the only problem might be tying it up with your others for vaccine passports but I believe they are supposed (!) to be sorting that out.

We went to our local walk in today. No queue. In and out in 25 mins. I'm 40, 5 months post vac. Got the impression they'd do anyone who was post 3 months and wanted it.

I was booked for a booster exactly 6 months after my second dose and tried to move it forward once they made the announcement for over 40s but the system did not update until Wednesday. Rebooked for yesterday but couldn’t go as had tested positive. Now will rebook for 28 days time!

I just walked past a walk I clinic and asked if they had appointments 10 minutes later I'm jabbed. I'm not even in the list to be called yet. 36 and no conditions.

I'm 51 and in the NW and just this minute booked my booster and it is at 10:10 on Monday!

I did have one booked previously though but have been ill and unable to attend but there is certainly no shortage where we are.

DH is 2 years younger than me and had his a week ago, no problems.
