PCR result waiting time

I know this has probably been done to death and I’m sorry, but does anyone mind filling me with a glimmer of hope regarding the waiting time for PCR results. It’s just come up to 24 hours now for DS’s result which I know probably isn’t that long, I just wish I could stop checking my phone every five minutes!

Finally got a negative result, 44 hours later

I’m over 40 hours here too…..can’t be much longer….taps foot impatiently.

Posted our PCRs on Monday, but they only arrived at test centre yesterday. Really hoping for result soon as DH is taking one of our DCs up to visit his family this weekend, and this might be the last time his grandmother ever sees one of her grandchildren.

DD just got her results and it's negative.

Posted Monday pm and results Wednesday am - not too bad really but agonising when you are worried and desperate to know for sure.

I hope the rest of you waiting find out soon.

Anyone else still waiting from Monday postal tests?

37hrs last week by post, just been to drive through this morning and hoping this one is quicker as have birthday party to reschedule this weekend! Had 2 positive LFTs this morning, no symptoms. Last week was negative but symptoms - temperature, blocked nose, sore eyes.

Still waiting from Sunday morning drive through.

I ordered a postal test yesterday, and this afternoon I got a text from Royal Mail apologising that they couldn't deliver it and they would try again tomorrow.

You couldn't make it up!

Postal on Monday. Rang 119 they said it’s too soon to chase it. Beyond frustrating. My poor DC is isolating. I need to know now if they can stop isolating from the family.

27 hours and counting. Really want DD to go to school tomorrow (if negative obviously!) so obsessively checking emails. I’m waiting for exam results too, can’t take the tension!!

My positive PCR has just come through. I went to a drive through yesterday morning.

Still waiting. 52 hours.

Our postals were sent Tuesday. Really holing the results are back tomorrow...

One out of the three just came back negative. Posted Tuesday afternoon.

Our drive through one for DD on Monday was 26 hrs in the end (positive). I sent a postal one for me yesterday that was delivered same day, and we also did 3 drive throughs for the rest of the family yesterday, which are now 23 hrs and counting

Well mine are back and negative.

Postal test on Monday. Came back today Thursday 6.30am!!!!!!!

I did a drive through Monday 8.30am. Email at 7pm saying result couldn't be read.
I did a walk through Tuesday 8.30am. Email at midnight saying result couldn't be read.
I did a walk through Wednesday 8.30am. Still waiting for result. 5 positive lft on Monday and Tuesday but now neg on them. Cold, cough, breathless, headache.

Posted ours on Monday. Back at five past midnight this morning.

Drive through test yesterday 11am, positive result came through 8am. I also tested and my result is not back, think I’m negative, think they prioritise sending the positive notifications first. Drive through definitely much quicker than postal (took 37hrs last week for negatives).

So mine is finally back Negative. Batshit. 4 positive lft make me smell a rat. Work don't want me back rightly so and so want to go on original lft.
