Can we walk on a field?

Field 2 mins from house. Massive field, won't be near anyone.

Kids are going crazy. Dogs not been walked for a week.

Can't see the harm when we won't be touching anything or be near anyone?

If you have covid and supposed to be isolating, then legally no.

sunlovingcriminal · 20/11/2021 13:03

Eh? Where in the world are you? We're not in lockdown anymore... so you can do what you like!

HirplesWithHaggis · 20/11/2021 13:03

No winter crops or livestock? Should be fine.

ilost · 20/11/2021 13:17

Sorry, we're isolating. Not left the house at all, of course. But my DD is SEND and sat here crying because she wants to go for a walk.

It's a playing field.

We genuinely wouldn't be within 100ft of anyone at any point.

I know I'm being unreasonable and the rules are there for a reason but I would never consider going anywhere near people.

I won't do it.

Just sat here fantasising about stretching my legs Blush

We went for a walk in the woods behind our house when isolating. Picked a quiet time (teatime usually). It saved our sanity.

Kikkomam · 20/11/2021 13:21

If I genuinely knew I wasn't going to see anyone then yes.

Seeline · 20/11/2021 13:23

Have you all got it?
How long have you got left if your isolation?

AttaGirrrrl · 20/11/2021 13:25

Can you not get a friend to come to walk the dog?

PicsInRed · 20/11/2021 13:31

No, you can't wander someone else's rural property whilst isolating for covid.

Pootle40 · 20/11/2021 13:32

I wouldn't waste time posting on here. What on earth do you think will happen if you go out in the middle of nowhere.

TheNarwhalBalloon · 20/11/2021 13:33

I think it's illegal and I'm pretty strict about sticking to the rules, but I personally wouldn't blame you. Could you maybe go early one morning before anyone is about?
I'm sorry for you, OP, it sounds awful right now. I hope the time passes quickly.

Seeline · 20/11/2021 13:34

If it's a playing field it's unlikely to be in the middle of nowhere.

AmadeustheAlpaca · 20/11/2021 13:34

Yes, go for a walk. Your child is distressed and crying, you won't go anywhere near anyone and it's cruel for your dogs not to walk them. This isn't aimed at you OP but so many people have lost their commonsense and any sense of proportion.

JunoMcDuff · 20/11/2021 13:36

Is it a public field or is there a footpath? You can't just trespass.

MarshaBradyo · 20/11/2021 13:38

You won’t see anyone, just go

grapestar · 20/11/2021 13:38

Have you ever been stopped by anyone and asked to confirm if you should be isolating before, especially when you don't come within 100ft of anyone?
I think that's your answer...:

hotcrossedbums · 20/11/2021 13:47

You shouldn't be trespassing, with or without covid! Angry

ilost · 20/11/2021 13:50

Where are people getting tresspassing from? Confused

It's a public field, absolutely huge. Football fields and dog walking fields.

OP posts:
SnarkyBag · 20/11/2021 13:51

I would

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 20/11/2021 13:51

No what if you fell and twisted your ankle or something. I would've said yes until I caught Covid myself.

LefttoherownDevizes · 20/11/2021 13:53

Go, chance of passing it on outdoors is so low. Only thing I would be careful of is touching things like gateposts etc

CarrieBlue · 20/11/2021 13:59

Isolating makes it illegal

PicsInRed · 20/11/2021 14:03

As the rules have changed on close contact isolation, presumably you're isolating as you have confirmed covid in the household? If so, no, you don't take someone with covid to a public place.

TinaYouFatLard · 20/11/2021 14:05

For Christ’s sake, go and get your poor DD outside.
