What concerns you more about getting Covid: the illness itself or the need to quarantine for 10 days?

Interested to know whether I'm an outlier... Having had Covid in the house previously and not being infected myself, thinking about it, I'm more concerned about the prospect of 10 days self-isolation than the illness.

The first time I had COVID I was unable to get out of bed for 21 days or do more than sit on the sofa for another 21. I would love it if all I had to worry about was 10 days of self isolation.

I'm not that concerned about either, but if I had to pick one it would be the illness.

Quarantine. I only get paid if I go to work! No sick pay etc, as I'm paid by the hour. I'd do it, (quarantine), because I'm lucky that my salary isn't the only one coming in, but I can imagine people on similar contracts to mine not quarantined or testing.

I would love it if all I had to worry about was ten days of self isolation too. As it was, last time we as a household had to self isolate for ten days it reversed any improvements in my PND and I had weeks of debilitating low mood and exhaustion amongst other symptoms. You can see why I’m in no hurry to have to self isolate again.

Having had ‘mild Covid’ and still feeling pretty crappy I wouldn’t like to go through it again. I sympathise anyone who suffers badly from this, it’s truly vile.

3 family members passed away from it so I know exactly how devastating it’s potential is.

It would be the quarantine, aside from when I had a very bad sickness bug there has never been a day where I haven’t left the house, I run or do some sort of outside exercise everyday and can’t stand the thought of sitting on the sofa for days on end watching Netflix. My mental health would suffer massively if I were to have to stay in especially with a very active one year old. In other countries you are “allowed” out in the fresh air on your own if you have covid and to be honest I would probably do the same here, at night or early morning in the deserted place usually walk the dog is no risk to anyone. I have always been more of a use my own common sense rather than follow nonsensical rules kind of person.

The illness is what bothers me. I don’t care if I have to isolate for 10 days. I had to isolate for 28 days last year, and shield, so a further ten days doesn’t bother me.
