Please....

SE England.

Our last testing, way back April, took 8/9 hours. Anyone had quicker?

Posted test back yesterday at 4pm, results by text 8am this morning (positive☹️)

Surprised by the quick turnaround by post.

@Tellmewhat

Posted test back yesterday at 4pm, results by text 8am this morning (positive☹️)

Surprised by the quick turnaround by post.

I posted mine on Saturday 1pm and haven't heard anything yet Confused

I'm beginning to wonder if it's gone missing.

SurreyMumOfOne · 28/09/2021 14:15

I ended up taking DC for another appointment at 5pm yesterday afternoon at a local walk through centre. Got the result back at noon, negative.

Still no result from Saturday's test at Heathrow.

I do feel bad for taking a second test but having read on here and elsewhere how quickly they have been coming back, it didn't seem right having already been 48 hours. And there was no bother booking the slot so I wouldn't have prevented anyone else getting tested.

SurreyMumOfOne · 28/09/2021 14:16

@MargaretThursday Do you recall when the post box you used was due to be collected from?

MargaretThursday · 28/09/2021 14:18

@SurreyMumOfOne I thought it was 1pm on Saturday so I was getting it in just before (they're normally late). Maybe this was the one day they were early!!

MargaretThursday · 28/09/2021 14:24

@Nononononoyes

I’m up to 74 hours ☹️ I rang 119 and got a message saying they are too busy to chase results.
So am I. I'm thinking if I haven't got it by this evening I'm going to decide it's lost and go and do a drive through. Waste of petrol though.
Nononononoyes · 28/09/2021 14:44

I managed to get through to 119 just now. My son was positive, I was negative.

EddieVeddersfoxymop · 28/09/2021 20:50

9 hours almost to the minute, very impressed. Negative, phew!

ajja2021 · 28/09/2021 21:01

We're NW my DH had them back in 4 hours

degsydoodoos · 28/09/2021 21:08

Wow these are really quick. 2 sons and I had PCR at 10am yesterday, results came to my phone around 4am this morning. DH has been for PCR today 2pm so I'm hoping that results come early tomorrow.

PartnerInTime · 28/09/2021 21:59

Tested at Gatwick 5:30pm yesterday, results today at 9pm. So almost 28 hours.

All three came at once, all negative.

PileOfBooks · 28/09/2021 22:29

About 22 hours. All negative. Phew!

KloppsTeeth · 28/09/2021 22:33

Sent PCR test off on Sunday morning, postbox collected at 3pm. Stupidly forgot to register it, as haven’t had to do one before. Registered it this morning at 7am via 119. They told me to 9 out of 10 come through whilst still on the phone. Of course, mine didn’t. Still waiting.

Smartiepants79 · 28/09/2021 22:34

Our last lot (last week) posted on Thursday lunchtime, results not til Sunday morning.

Eccle80 · 28/09/2021 22:36

@PileOfBooks

We tested 6pm today so wondering if we will hear tomorrow.

Does anyone know what happens to the samples? Are they literally tested on site?? (Drive thru centre) and then processed or do theg go somewhere?

Do they fast track positive results ?

I’ve wondered the same about how they are processed, I assume they have to go to a lab elsewhere, but who takes them and how often?

We’re waiting too, tests done just after 8 this morning. A couple of weeks ago it was 25 hours for DH at the same site

MrsWhites · 28/09/2021 22:40

Results just back 13 hrs later (test at 9.15, results at 10.16pm, funnily enough every time we have tested in our house results have arrived at 16 min past so must get sent in batches).

Positive 😢

Hatsuma · 28/09/2021 22:46

Drive through test at 1pm (2 weeks ago). Had results at 6.15pm.

Hatsuma · 28/09/2021 22:47

Although weirdly DD’s results, who did hers at the exact same time, didn’t come through until early hours of the next morning. Both positive.

KloppsTeeth · 28/09/2021 23:20

Do the results ping through 24 hours a day? Or working hours?

awholenewworlda · 28/09/2021 23:29

Posted multiple home tests to catch the 5.15pm last post over the past three weeks.

Always received a text the next day between 8 and 10pm.

(Midlands)

MargaretThursday · 29/09/2021 07:51

Email came through at 11pm yesterday, text this morning. So that's posted lunchtime on Saturday through to Tuesdays evening at best. I'd pretty much given up hope they'd got it!
(Negative)

Eccle80 · 29/09/2021 13:46

Eventually got our results, both took 29 hours from first thing yesterday at a test centre

BusMum79 · 29/09/2021 19:39

Slowest test we’ve had so far (apart from right at the very start). Took my toddler to a drive through test centre in SE London at 9am yesterday. Results usually v quick (well within 24 hours) - nearly 35 hours and counting. She’s back on top form, so hoping for a negative, but panicking it’ll be void / unreadable because it was a nightmare trying to swab her (3rd PC since starting nursery last month),

BusMum79 · 29/09/2021 19:39

*PCR

Covidworries · 29/09/2021 20:06

Before summer results back in under 24 hrs.
Early sept had a ruault back in10 hrs. Last week result took approx 30 hrs.
