Please....

SE England.

Our last testing, way back April, took 8/9 hours. Anyone had quicker?

We've just had a result slightly under 12 hours - tested at 09.15 and result at 21.00.

RupertTheCat · 26/09/2021 21:39

Tested at noon and results at 10:30 pm. London walk thru centre, this month.

Louisa111 · 26/09/2021 21:55

4 hours, Dh tested at 10.30am results by 2.30

SurreyMumOfOne · 26/09/2021 22:23

Argh. Took DC to the Heathrow site yesterday afternoon and still nothing. Looks like things are a bit slow reading posts here :(

Pl242 · 26/09/2021 23:39

I got tested at 930 this morning and got result (negative) back at 11pm tonight. So 13.5 hour turnaround which is very good. Drive through test centre in north London.

SurreyMumOfOne · 27/09/2021 05:54

It's so annoying it's so inconsistent! Still nothing here. DS is prone to coughs and of course I'm going to keep him home until we have the result but this is frustrating. Plans for the day out of the window yet again...

Blankspace4 · 27/09/2021 07:52

Sent a postal test back priority on Saturday morning and still waiting at the moment.

frozendaisy · 27/09/2021 07:59

If this wasn't a private test centre you guys are definitely shortest

Tested 9am Saturday and still waiting

snackcurator · 27/09/2021 08:11

Tested 8am yesterday and result came through at 2am today - 18 hours

1309username · 27/09/2021 15:09

I posted above because I mailed the tests on Wednesday and wasn’t hearing anything.

Decided not to wait any longer and went to a walk-in centre yesterday at 4 and we just got the results.

Still no sign of the earlier tests but we can finally move on.

SurreyMumOfOne · 27/09/2021 16:10

@1309username That's interesting. We've had to do about 12 tests on DS so far and this was the first time we've used the Heathrow drive through site and the first time it's taken this long. I know it's only just over 48 hours but I wonder if something has gone amiss.

Liverpoolgirl52 · 27/09/2021 16:25

55 hours here! It’s so inconsistent.

frozendaisy · 27/09/2021 17:35

Only another 6 to go and you beat the 60 hour winner!

And they say don't contact until it is X3 days (72hours) although I estimate the average is about 36 at the moment

So strange….DH and I both sent back postal tests at the same time yet he had his (negative) result 8 hours ago and still nothing for me!

Should I fear the worst?

user1000000000009 · 27/09/2021 22:24

Walk in centre. Test at 10am and results through at 10.30pm

Comefromaway · 27/09/2021 22:27

North Midlands here - Test 10am Friday results 7am Saturday.

Saracen · 28/09/2021 02:11

The five tests my family have had, the results have always come back about 6am the following day, regardless what time of day we had the test.

PileOfBooks · 28/09/2021 03:04

We tested 6pm today so wondering if we will hear tomorrow.

Does anyone know what happens to the samples? Are they literally tested on site?? (Drive thru centre) and then processed or do theg go somewhere?

Do they fast track positive results ?

Nat6999 · 28/09/2021 03:26

South Yorkshire, test Thursday morning, results Saturday night.

Nononononoyes · 28/09/2021 12:32

I’m up to 74 hours ☹️
I rang 119 and got a message saying they are too busy to chase results.

samwitwicky · 28/09/2021 12:37

East Mids here. 1.45pm test, 4.45pm results.

It was through work though (I work for the local Trust) so not sure if that makes a difference, however I know they also test the public so 🤷🏽‍♀️

MrsWhites · 28/09/2021 12:47

Following this thread today, DD tested this morning after positive lateral flow so hoping for quick turnaround.

2 weeks ago we waited 16 hours so not too bad at all, hoping for similar this time.
