Amber destinations tomorrow!

Anyone got any insider knowledge on what countries are moving from green to amber tomorrow? Specifically anything about Madeira!

Well if they did have "insider knowledge" then I very much hope that they wouldn't be sharing it on here.

Anything you read will be pure speculation of the "my friend who is high up in government" totally made up variety.

I’m wondering what’s going to happen too, especially with the Balearics. How likely is it they will go to amber, or even red?

Balearics to amber I think, nice way for the government to make some extra money from the overpriced extra tests the unvaccinated will have to do when they return.... also talk of France going to red which I’m sure will be a political move rather than one with any actual scientific basis. It would be great if they had an actual threshold for moving countries not just pinning a pin in a map every 3 weeks like last year but I suppose that’s too much to expect. But you know it’s fine people have crammed into Wimbledon, the euros and 10s of thousands are coming to my local area for silverstone this weekend but heaven forbid it be easy for me to take my own family abroad this summer and no for some certainty we will be able to actually go! The best bet is to book and go within a couple of days of the latest announcement but that’s not possible for most people!

@Blessex- have just read the Telegraph and it says double jabbed won’t have to quarantine from 19th if fully jabbed.
@Delatron- I also read that article, wouldn’t surprise me if they change them to red bang in the middle of school holidays 🙄🙄

@Delatron yep I have been travelling whole pandemic because my DH lives abroad and our marriage is important to us. It is possible. Even when they stopped air travel we used the train. It just costs a shit load of money in tests. Quarantine not such an issue as we both WFH. But we are so looking forward to it getting easier as we have been double vaxxed for a couple of months now. But I can tell anyone on here. The airports are full and people are travelling.

Ebola would need to break out in Spain, France, Italy, Greece, or any other popular destination before they made it Amber to Red.

Mid holiday, you are told you will have to go back into a hotel for 10 days?
