As numbers go up, will you be avoiding public places?

I will certainly be cutting back on visits when numbers rise higher, even though I’ve had it and am double vacinated. I really don’t want to be ill again. It wasn’t pleasant.
At the moment I’m taking the risk but when masks are relaxed and if/when numbers are higher, I’ll be restricting my movements. I know I’m “low risk” but I still don’t want to be ill in bed again.

Anyone else?

No.

HoldingTheDoor · 06/07/2021 11:32

No. I'm very happy to go out. It doesn't concern me at all.

CuckooCuckooClock · 06/07/2021 11:33

Yes. If no masks and no social distancing and no limited numbers then my family will certainly be avoiding a lot of things this summer.

Foobydoo · 06/07/2021 11:34

I will be taking some precautions as I am CV.
I wont be going to indoor crowded places.
I am concerned about 'personal responsibility' because so many people don't give a shit.
I am also worried be a being given the summer off but will need to pay with a winter lockdown which will be awful.

vaxmeup · 06/07/2021 11:36

Yes, definitely. I live with a vulnerable person and don't want to put them at risk of infection if new cases are in the 100,000s each day.

I personally don't want to get saddled with long Covid either. There will be a high chance of getting infected with the very high case numbers projected.

I realise how privileged I am to be able to make a choice about this over the next few months, though.

LawnFever · 06/07/2021 11:37

No, I’ll have had two jabs by then, and cases rising doesn’t seem to be equalling hospitalisations, at least found here.

I’m quite ready to go back to normal as soon as possible.

KurtWilde · 06/07/2021 11:37

No, not at all.

Oblomov21 · 06/07/2021 11:38

No. It's over for me now.

Clickbait · 06/07/2021 11:38

No, personally I won't be.

Rinoa86 · 06/07/2021 11:39

No, not one bit. Life is for living and tomorrow isn’t promised so I intend to get on with mine.

Bryonyshcmyony · 06/07/2021 11:39

No definitely not.

southeastdweller · 06/07/2021 11:40

Hell no, life’s for living.

Pickersgill · 06/07/2021 11:40

Yes- I have a vulnerable child.

LifeinPieces21 · 06/07/2021 11:40

I'm going to get my shopping delivered to avoid supermarkets but that's about it.

FindingMeno · 06/07/2021 11:40

No, I'm not worried about myself, and I've worked outside the home through the pandemic when I wasn't vaccinated and cv, when I was worried.
I do worry for the young people though so I will continue to wear a mask in crowded places.

Bryonyshcmyony · 06/07/2021 11:41

In fact I will be making a massive effort to go out more than I did precovid as I've realised how much I enjoy being sociable. I also want to make hay while the sun shines as who knows if we'll end up in another shitty lockdown

TheClaws · 06/07/2021 11:41

Yes. I'm CEV, and due to circumstances out of my control, I haven't been vaccinated yet. I'd like to feel safe.

Elllicam · 06/07/2021 11:43

Yes as I am pregnant and high risk

nordica · 06/07/2021 11:45

Mostly yes but I don't go to pubs/bars/sports events etc. anyway and have been doing most of my shopping online for years, so it's not really a change from normal for me.

I will need to use public transport once or twice a week but outside of rush hour.

Not in any rush to go somewhere busy for no good reason while case rates are high and going up.

sammyspoon · 06/07/2021 11:45

No. Going to get out and about with kids during holidays as much as possible. Lots of day trips planned and trips to London sights while there are still significantly less tourists than usual. We're not having an overseas holiday so going to make our staycation fun.

Sailingthroughtheweek · 06/07/2021 11:45

No. I’m done with Covid and restrictions.

tedsletterofthelaw · 06/07/2021 11:46

No. I value my freedom too much to continue restrictions.

Remmy123 · 06/07/2021 11:46

Why wouid you? If vaccinated you can get on with life.

Why are people still so wary

I know - media scaremongering

twinmum86 · 06/07/2021 11:47

For the next two weeks yes because I really really want my children to be able to attend all their end of term things at preschool. I live in fear of them getting a temperature and having to isolate.

After that then I'll be less cautious. And once I've had my second vaccine I will be living life as normal.
