Just wondering how many people on here have experience of children with long Covid?

In fact I don’t know a child that has had it.

Watapalava · 27/06/2021 16:57

None

Dispite having 2 teenagers I only know 3 kids who’ve had it and I live in Lancashire high variant area

Watapalava · 27/06/2021 16:58

Had covid at all that is

MonaChopsis · 27/06/2021 17:00

None. I know of a small handful of children who have had positive Covid tests and in every single case the parents have been astonished, as they only got them tested as a precaution.

None with severe symptoms, none with long-lasting ones.

SpringRainbow · 27/06/2021 17:01

None, in fact I don’t know anyone with long Covid.

DrRamsesEmerson · 27/06/2021 17:02

None, though I know a few who've tested positive (mostly with no symptoms at all).

CoffeeWithCheese · 27/06/2021 17:02

None.

I know an entire generation suffering from Bloody Interminable Covid though.

palacegirl77 · 27/06/2021 17:04

I only know 1 child that has had a positive test - no symptoms at all. Dont know anyone at all with "long covid" or post viral fatigue as it used to be called.

Hillbillyhotel · 27/06/2021 17:05

None. I only know one child that has had COVID at all.

Oneandanotherone · 27/06/2021 17:05

None

Waxonwaxoff0 · 27/06/2021 17:06

None. I don't know any children personally that have had it. There have been 3 individual cases at DS's school.

Quartz2208 · 27/06/2021 17:06

I do know one person (60s poor health) who has long covid and finds it very debilitating

gegs73 · 27/06/2021 17:06

I know children who have had it, some asymptotic some ill. All of them have had no lasting effects.

wasthataburp · 27/06/2021 17:06

I don't know anyone with long Covid.

I do however know plenty of people with other health issues such as diabetes, cancer, fibromyalgia etc.

Waxonwaxoff0 · 27/06/2021 17:06

I don't know any adults with long Covid either and I know plenty who have had it, including my mum, cousin and about 20 of my work colleagues.

Oblomov21 · 27/06/2021 17:07

None. Know of no children even having covid, let alone long covid.

ChocOrange1 · 27/06/2021 17:08

I only know one child who has tested positive for covid. She had a dodgy tummy for a few days and then was fine.

happytoday73 · 27/06/2021 17:08

None... And I live in G Manchester and know literally 100s of kids that have been exposed and had to isolate at least once missing school

SerenadeOfTheSchoolRun · 27/06/2021 17:09

I know of one who is still suffering and having time off school after catching Covid right at the beginning of the pandemic (late primary school age I think - I don't know them that well). Any other children I know of who had it have had it very mildly with no lasting effects.

endofjune · 27/06/2021 17:09

None. I don’t actually know anybody who’s had long covid at all though.

happytoday73 · 27/06/2021 17:10

Oh probably about dozen children that were positive... All fine.
I adult that was hospitalised with covid took 6 months to go back to work but seems OK now.

OliveTree75 · 27/06/2021 17:10

I know about 20 kids who have tested positive. All very mild and no long covid. My own ds only had a sore throat and only complained about it once when he had it

Mwnci123 · 27/06/2021 17:10

No kids with it but I know several adults with long covid (symptoms for over a year now).
