How long for results these days?

DD started coughing yesterday so managed to book a test for this morning at a walk in centre. Just wondering how long, on average, results are taking these days?

It was 11pm the same day for me recently (in London)

Neolara · 31/05/2021 08:02

I was about to ask the same question. Same day results would be brilliant.

ItsSnowJokes · 31/05/2021 08:04

13 hours

4fingerKitKat · 31/05/2021 08:04

Test midday yesterday and results 7am this morning

oneofthose · 31/05/2021 08:06

15 hours for us a couple of weeks ago. Test first thing in the morning end result in the evening.

MrsWidgerysLodger · 31/05/2021 08:12

Test at around 12.30 yesterday. Results arrived 7ish this morning.

wizzler · 31/05/2021 08:28

13 hours in Sheffield

WaterBottle123 · 31/05/2021 09:40

This is encouraging. Just tested in south west England

Sometimesfraught82 · 31/05/2021 09:42

I wish people posted results too!

All negative I’m guessing

conkersarebonkers · 31/05/2021 09:45

Test in morning, result (negative) that evening. This was a couple of weeks ago.

Hangingtrousers · 31/05/2021 09:48

I'm still waiting for a test taken Saturday morning 😭

fish88 · 31/05/2021 10:07

Got my kids tested last Tuesday. Had appointment at walk in site at 8:30am. Got negative results back at 1am Wednesday so just over 16 hours.

SallyOMalley · 31/05/2021 10:16

My ds had a positive lft before school and we booked in for a pcr at 9.30am the same day. We got a positive pcr result 12 hours later.

As an aside, his 'only' symptoms were a slightly runny nose, headache and a fleeting tummy ache. 24 hours later and he felt fine. The lft on the day his symptoms appeared was negative (virus levels too low??) so we only picked it up with the lft 3 days later.

Isolation ended yesterday! Our jabs held firm and our dd didn't get it. Phew.

SallyOMalley · 31/05/2021 10:19

Oh, and according to our local stats, he was only 1 of six secondary school aged children that tested positive last week. We are at around 15 cases per 100k at the mo so by no means high.

GiveMeNovocain · 31/05/2021 10:22

10 hours (test 10.30am results 8.30pm). Negative as I knew it would be as it was blatantly norovirus but temperature went up so tested.

CandyLeBonBon · 31/05/2021 10:34

I've co e down with cough, slightly elevated

CandyLeBonBon · 31/05/2021 10:35

Oops pressed 'post' too soon!

..Temperature, weird tastes in my mouth, smelling things that aren't there. Testing at a walk in site at 11:30. Will keep you posted!

CandyLeBonBon · 31/05/2021 10:36

DS(2) has had two recently, at the same place. First was at 3pm and we got the results at 8:45am the following day (which meant he could go to preschool and DD could go to school!).

Second was at 9:30am and we got the results at 5:30am the next day.

We're in the SE.

whatnow41 · 31/05/2021 12:10
