@FatimaLovesBread where did you book pfizer? I'm in west Yorks too. Can you send me a link?

FatimaLovesBread · 11/05/2021 19:23

@garlictwist I've PM'd you the booking link, hope it helps you

hiptobeasquare · 11/05/2021 19:37

I’m 35, NE got a text today for the Pfizer vaccine. Booked for next week.

Littlemessymiss · 11/05/2021 19:39

Yay! Had my Pfizer jab today (May 81).
Had to drive 90 minutes though as at the time of booking it was the nearest in terms of date/ location that wasn’t my actual birthday.

I have seen it in a previous thread, but not sure when I can “manage my booking” to see it there is a closer venue for my second??

I am still checking for DH who is ‘81 but after the July 1st cut off.

Got a text today booked for Pfizer tomorrow, 1985
Where ?
Goatsdorhone · 11/05/2021 19:52

I'm 36 and DH is 38 - we haven't heard a peep yet in SE London and I'm sure I read that our borough was one of the fastest moving when they were higher up the age brackets. Really hope we get the call up soon!

To those that have been to Guys or St Thomas', was that booked via the nhs booking site or a direct invite?

BlackLambAndGreyFalcoln · 11/05/2021 19:56

Yes same here in SE London ages 39. It seems like my area was really fast in getting through the 50s and the 40s age group, but has slowed right down now :(

Guys is a national vaccination hub (think st Thomas is the same) so would have been a booking on the national booking website.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 11/05/2021 19:56

47 and I will finally get mine at the weekend. 48yo oh got his yesterday. Our authority in Wales has dragged its heels getting the 40-50 group done.

Since they have stopped offering az to under 30s and now under 40s they been funneling all their Pfizer to them so far more 18-29 year olds have been vaccinated here than 40-49.

I cant wait to feel safer walking into my busy, small classroom!

firefly · 11/05/2021 19:57

Essex here. Got mine today (31) Pzifer!

nordica · 11/05/2021 20:00

Goatsdorhone and BlackLambAndGreyFalcoln I wonder if we're in the same SE London borough?

Local friends in their early 40s were called back in March and had been told our area and my GP surgery in particular were ahead. But that was about 7 weeks ago now so it doesn't seem to be the case now... I know my nearest hub was doing Pfizer earlier in the year too so technically should be able to vaccinate under 40s now.

Goatsdorhone · 11/05/2021 20:02

@nordica
Borough of Bromley here

Serafinaaa · 11/05/2021 20:08
@usernotfound0000 it's the Huddersfield end of West Yorkshire, close to Greater Mancs border
Would you mind sending me the link too? Thanks

january29 · 11/05/2021 20:14

@user19097527484949 sorry should have said Essex

BlackLambAndGreyFalcoln · 11/05/2021 20:16

@nordica - sounds a very similar story. Greenwich Borough here - Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.

NotBot · 11/05/2021 20:33

@FatimaLovesBread 1- guessing you’ve booked the clinic all my neighbours have! 😄 that link whipped round my WhatsApp groups today! I’m 33, so still be waiting ..

minipilling · 11/05/2021 20:36

Finally got the invite today but my older husband hasn't! Booked for next week but no way of knowing which vaccine, wasn't offered a choice or anything mentioned. I want an AZ alternative but i guess I'll have to wait and see.

FatimaLovesBread · 11/05/2021 20:52

@NotBot Grin most probably, as soon as I saw someone tweet about it last night I booked in and sent the link to all my friends

nordica · 11/05/2021 21:06

Same!

Giraffefantastico · 11/05/2021 22:14

Also interested in the link please! Thank you Smile

Smallabl · 11/05/2021 22:43

39 here and getting really fed up that I can practically touch Guys from my house and I keep hearing about people travelling 90 minutes etc to be vaccinated there. I get it, especially if you’re concerned about AZ as we know they have other vaccines there, but I wish there was some sort of priority system for those of us that live closer...it is literally my closest vaccination site. The GP invites around here seem utterly random and most of my younger family in the NE have already had their first vaccination. Like a previous poster, I wouldn’t mind if it was quite far into the future, but I just wish I could book now so I know!!

JM10 · 11/05/2021 22:48

@Winecheesesleep

39 here in the South West and no invitation yet. It feels like we've been waiting forever!
We are south west and dh is 39, a couple weeks ago I thought it would drop to 39 any day. I find it frustrating seeing people much younger getting called in other areas.
MsMeNz · 11/05/2021 23:12

So if your GP isn't doing vaccines as it's been done in the next town over, will I not get a gp message and just have to keep trying to the website... That has never been clear to me. I know in early days with vulnerable ppl GPs needed to indicate which ppl they were. But now are loads of people on here and at work in London are getting lucky being called up early as their jab by their GP but no illnesses is it just because their GP happens to be a vaccine centre and the rest of us have to wait? I don't get it if that's the case seems unfair. Can anyone explain it to me? Thanks. Maybe I got it wrong

Extrapepperoni · 11/05/2021 23:17

@FatimaLovesBread could I have the link too please!

Mangomoonlight · 11/05/2021 23:38
