Just booked my second at guys on 29th May via the 'manage my appointments' grey button on website. I'm Aug 81. Had my first on Friday last week when my GP friend called me to surgery with an hour's notice to have a spare one they had left so second dose will be three weeks and a day apart.

dontcallmelen · 12/05/2021 14:21

Ds 41, finally able to get a slot at Guys hospital on Monday & second appointment early august, he has been trying for nearly two weeks site wouldn’t let him book as no second appointments available showing until this morning.

CaveMum · 12/05/2021 14:22

Had my first jab this morning - AZ.

Turned 40 yesterday (though got the booking invitation 2 weeks ago). Second jab booked for end of July, so 11 week gap.

I’m July 82 but it’s still not letting me in on the website ☹️

nordica · 12/05/2021 14:25

Eeeeek I've just booked! For tomorrow morning! Grin

Anyone who has had their vaccination via their gp hub (as opposed to the national booking system) - when do they text you to arrange the second vaccination? My husband had his text at 9 weeks and was able to book for the following day - just trying to work out if this is standard or not.

@BlackLambAndGreyFalcoln I only had my first on Friday at GP hub. Unsurprisingly I haven't had a text yet but I checked earlier today and it let me in and I've now booked my second for 29th May at Guys. I'll end up having had my second a couple of weeks before my (older) DH who had his first quite a while ago.

1982, not able to book atm - hopefully tomorrow!

Those who have booked via the national site today and are under 40 when is your birthday? Trying to work out where cut off is. I'm Dec 82 and can't book

My second appointment is 11 weeks after the first.

April 1983.
I think they must be updating it bit by bit as I tried several times earlier after seeing here others were able to book and then suddenly it let me through. Lots of available appointments although lots were random pharmacies I hadn't heard of so I opted for one I know for sure has been doing Moderna this week just in case the others are AZ? It didn't have any information about which jab you'd be having.

I am June 82. So currently 38, soon to be 39. And was able to book today
Sew3stitch · 12/05/2021 15:00

I can get through for my husband now but it doesn't seem to indicate whether pfizer/moderna is available at the various sites. I wonder if more information will be released on this tomorrow when the slots officially open up, or whether the advice about under 40s getting an alternative to AZ if available literally means whatever the vaccination centre has on the day.

lobster12 · 12/05/2021 15:07

Ah I'm 1985 and was hoping the next slots would be open to age 35+ after MH announcement yesterday. Will just have to wait a couple more weeks!!

Good luck to everyone who can book!

Goatsdorhone · 12/05/2021 15:10

I've tried a couple of times for DH (38-Sept 82) but saying not eligible
It's like trying to get Glastonbury tickets Grin
