Do they add more slots do you know? My partners brother is trying to book but it’s not showing availability within 35 miles and we live near two major vaccination hubs!

I think more slots are added all the time. I hope so anyway just want to book the day after the last available day and keep checking back. When I look different sites come up sometimes so appointments are being added periodically I guess.

I have a similar thing @Florelei I'm 43 and in Cheshire East, and am now getting options to book, but they're all miles away. There is a big centre near here (Alderley Park) but it's not coming up at the moment, nearest option is a small church hall 50 minutes away. Hoping more slots open up at Alderley soon....

@Deliaskis - it’s so strange. We are very close to the centre for life major vaccination centre in Newcastle and the nightingale hub over near Sunderland. Neither are showing availability at the moment.

website updated to say you can book if you turn 42 before July

I'm 41 in June so hoping I'll be in the next batch of age related bookables they drop even if the age isn't officially updated on the website

I tried a cheeky go anyway and still says not eligible

When i was booking my husband's I went back a step and in again and loads of new options for location appeared. So totally worth trying again. It seemed like a glitch rather than they'd added new ones as there were some slots gone etc, it wasn't like a whole batch

Just had my second go of the day, it said I was number 402 in the queue, not seen that before! Ah well, it'll put me off trying for a bit I suppose!

it is like that for me at the moment however yesterday (when it was less busy) I was going forward and backwards and other slots did magically appear.

I also imagine/hope they want to be absolutely sure that vaccine is going to be available at certain sites before they let people book on. I know in many cases they're not sure about this until just a few days before.

think where I'm is a big no, I've been checking few days and bristol barely has anywhere for second doses

I often think of this! I've been involved with a bit of database work before but this is another level. And so hidden - we should send a Mumsnet card of thanks 🤩 I also like to imagine they check this thread to see the impact of their updates. I'm sure they don't, but I wouldn't be able to help myself if it was me.

BBC breakfast, local NW news from a vaccination centre - all over 40s will be able to book by end of the week. This might be to stop the site crashing like it did when over 50s were announced, so might stay there for a week or so.
But doses were only supposed to have been slowed down for April, so may ramp up for under 40s next week.

I'm sure a lot of people don't even know that this thread exists. So far, courtesy of this thread I've got about 14 people booked in, I don't tell them where I get my information, they just think I'm very clever and 'know things' - if only they knew!!

Yes I sat that too! I'm doing something that involves contact with lots of different members of the public next week and I'd like mine before then!

So how long does email confirmation take to come through? I have booked but don't have an email. I can't check as I don't know the booking reference. Got text now to book.....
