This is so weird. It must be down to postcode rather than age if people younger are able to book in some areas.

Inmyownlittlecorner · 26/04/2021 21:48

North London (Nov1978) & have just booked into the business design centre (Islington) for next week. I could have done this week but DH (45) had a bad reaction to his jab a couple of weeks ago & I wanted a Friday so I had the weekend in case I felt rough & I also wanted him to be around to deal with the DC!!

SurreyMumOfOne · 26/04/2021 22:16

March 1979, NE Surrey and it let me book.

Further to earlier similar messages, some of the places that could book a first appointment (notably Sandown) wouldn't then let me book a second appointment, so I could not then book either jab.

Also the second venues offered varied (no thanks to going to Tottenham!). But after a fair bit of back and forth I've been able to book in at Heathrow next week and then Twickenham.

WaitinginWorcestershire · 26/04/2021 22:17

I tried the other night and I wasn't eligible.

Anyone on here booked in Worcestershire? I am 42 so not technically eligible but older than many on here who have been able to book.

It seemed to be going so fast before and now seems to have come to a complete halt.

TokyoSushi · 26/04/2021 22:20

Just had my final check of the night, nothing doing! Tomorrow is another day! Tokyo, still 41, Cheshire

NewLynHill · 26/04/2021 22:21

Sept 78 and it let me book this afternoon on the national site

Catsarecrazy · 26/04/2021 22:23

@WaitinginWorcestershire have you tried today? A lot of us who weren’t allowed to book even this morning could book this afternoon. Try again!

3asAbird · 26/04/2021 22:26

Husband is 1972and can book at mass vaccination Centre.
I'm 1980 and not edible to book yet I'm 41 in July.
Nearest vaccination centres are Bristol Ashton Gate or Bath racecourse.
There are some local to us chemists and surgeries but husband doesn't seen to be able go book those.

BBC news says opening officially 44 year old.
I guess some areas still ahead it frustrating even considered changing gps surgery.
Read on fb seems be issue with pfizer supply.

If az can't be used by under 40s I guess they get all pfizer and limited moderna.

OrangeBananaFish · 26/04/2021 22:30

So how many times a day is it acceptable to check for appointments? Not even asking for a friend Grin I've become addicted.

TruelyWonder · 26/04/2021 22:33

How many times does a raptor check the fence?

Eccle80 · 26/04/2021 22:36

@WaitinginWorcestershire I’m Worcestershire but a bit younger, definitely try again tonight if you haven’t already though as lots have managed to book today up to mid 1979 birthdays

TokyoSushi · 26/04/2021 22:38

I reckon I've checked about 30 times today @OrangeBananaFish if anybody gets an alert each time I check, they'll think I'm insane!!!

Eccle80 · 26/04/2021 22:45

@OrangeBananaFish I think I will be checking constantly tomorrow in the hope they add the rest of the 40s!

BonesJones · 26/04/2021 22:46

35 and I've had a text for my appt for Wednesday! I thought I'd have to wait much longer! All the 40yr olds+ I know here in Wales have had theirs though so I shouldn't be too surprised, we must be blasting through them!

WaitinginWorcestershire · 26/04/2021 23:01

Eccle sorted Grin Got to go to Bromsgrove for 1st but I can manage that!

2nd one in Worcester.

@3asAbird can’t you book yet? Dh got a text on Friday to book via gp. I wasn’t expecting it at all. I did volunteering on Saturday at the gp and so many faces I know from the area. Hope they call you soon. But he can only now book his second in bath. Ashton is not allowed. Not boots Broadmead. Nor longwell green(I’m having my second one there ).

Hope they call you soon

I used to check 60/hour Grin just kidding. Maybe 20/day Confused
rainbowllama · 26/04/2021 23:09

I've just booked mine. I'm late 1978 and was booked up for both doses in seconds. Can't believe it let me!

3asAbird · 26/04/2021 23:09

I can't book yet the NHS website asks postcode so clearly its postcode lottery not purely on age.
Our gps hasent invited either of us.
He wants go longwell or Kingswood have his but all that comes up is Ashton or Bath.

Extrapepperoni · 26/04/2021 23:09

NW London here, booked DH in for his (1979 Jan born) for Friday. Our local mass vaccination center didn't come up as an option but lots of options within 5 miles. Good luck everyone. Really grateful that after the shitshow of pandemic related decisions, the vaccination program is 👌

42isthemeaning · 26/04/2021 23:12

Age 47. South Scotland - no letter yet.
However work has managed to net us one this week in northern England Grin
It pays to be cross border raiders!!

wheresmymojo · 26/04/2021 23:13

DH...1979, so 41, nearly 42 has just been invited for his (East Hampshire)

wheresmymojo · 26/04/2021 23:17

My DH is July 1979...

Eccle80 · 26/04/2021 23:18

@WaitinginWorcestershire fab, glad you are sorted! When is your first appointment? I’ve only heard positive things about the Bromsgrove centre

wheresmymojo · 26/04/2021 23:19

@Unicornish Also in Hampshire (East) and DH got his text today, he is July 1979 so not long to wait now...
