I am Sept 78 and have just managed to book in Cambridge

Applesandpears23 · 26/04/2021 19:11

Just booked my 43 year old DP in SE London. Didn’t work when I tried yesterday.

Megan2018 · 26/04/2021 19:13

Ooohh just booked!!
Miles away (24 miles each way) but thought I’d take it.
43 (78) -East Mids
4 May, could’ve got the 3 May but wanted a day DD at nursery as no childcare on a bank hol (DH working).

I will see if I can get nearer but perfectly happy to travel for it.

OneSecond · 26/04/2021 19:13

May 1979 just booked - can't book for DH August 1979 yet!

ContessaVerde · 26/04/2021 19:17

Haven’t tried booking, but got a message from my gp today asking me if I wanted it; then a second message saying can you make it before 5 pm. So i have gone from not anticipating it any time soon, to i’ve had it!
Early forties.

LondonWFuck · 26/04/2021 19:22

Mid-1980 here, just tried again on the NHS site and no luck. It must be nearly our turn!! I can't handle the excitement/anticipation!

I don't recall anyone having a mobile phone at my school. Some of the ultra-cool posse (which I was not a part of) had pagers 😂

Justdowhatyouweretold · 26/04/2021 19:32

Any under 40s in Suffolk able to book?

Quartz2208 · 26/04/2021 19:33

I cant book for myself either (August 1979).

I think they have added another two years on so the date of 1 July 2021 i now 42.

I would hope to be added maybe Weds/Thurs

Brilliant. I think all the GPs round here have stopped jabbing so we all have to go to the mass centre which is not a massive issue in itself but no appointments ☹️
Tequilamockinbird · 26/04/2021 20:17

March 1979 and it's letting me book.

I need to check my work diary tomorrow though so haven't confirmed an appointment. Wasn't expecting it to let me through!

LoopyPoopy · 26/04/2021 20:19

43, had mine today in Hertfordshire.

Unicornish · 26/04/2021 20:24

Does anyone know how the rollout is going in Hampshire? I've had mine (group 6) but we're still waiting for DH. Just want to have a rough idea really!

Catsarecrazy · 26/04/2021 20:28

How old is he @Unicornish?

copernicium · 26/04/2021 20:31

I'm 40 and had mine last week, I didn't realise I was so rare!

Unicornish · 26/04/2021 20:32

He's 40. Sorry I should have added that key info!

Eccle80 · 26/04/2021 20:35

Just seen a GP in the next town over from me are vaccinating down to 31 year olds tomorrow! They need to send some to my GP instead!

Eccle80 · 26/04/2021 20:36

@Unicornish I would keep an eye on here in the next few days to see if it extends further down again, nationally the booking is now allowing down to June 79 birthdays (we think!)

ChloeDecker · 26/04/2021 20:40

41 here and still waiting. Really fed up that they seem to have decided to roll out to 40-45 year-by-year,

So fed up as well. In fact I just get more and more upset at every disappointment. Really struggling I don’t mind admitting.

nordica · 26/04/2021 20:47

It sounds like they are probably having supply issues still and only have a very limited number of appointments available. But considering back in March we were told the under 50s would have to wait until May, it's great they are making progress. Smile

Catsarecrazy · 26/04/2021 20:52

@ChloeDecker hang in there! I was feeling exactly the same as you right up until just a few hours ago - and now I have a booking! It is SO hard waiting, I know well. What age are you, if you don’t mind me asking?

ChloeDecker · 26/04/2021 21:03

42 Cats Thank you for the bolster I needed!

I think it’s because I have Psoriasis and I’m in a household of teachers and we all currently have positive cases in our schools and the classrooms we have taught in and it seems so unfair that they have decided to pick my age bracket to start doing year by year. If I was working from home, I don’t think I would feel so on edge all the time.

Titsywoo · 26/04/2021 21:11

Just booked DH (42) in - East Surrey

Frazzled2207 · 26/04/2021 21:19

indeed. At this rate by the end of April a big chunk of 40 somethings will be done and many more will have appointments.
Catsarecrazy · 26/04/2021 21:26

@ChloeDecker if you’re 42 then it can’t be long ... I know that’s no consolation though. Hang in there! It is so hard, the waiting.

TruelyWonder · 26/04/2021 21:43

Goodness the age able to get booked seem to be dropping quickly. Thought we would be middle of may before they started the 30s. Not so sure now. It is looking quicker.

Mumsnet is going to have to change the title of the thread at this rate.

Congratulations everyone that has booked 🥳
