Been out this morning and the queues outside our local vaccination centres/surgeries/pharmacies are definitely of an older age group, so I thought that must be the reason as I still haven’t had a text/call from my GP, so assumed this was similar for the early 40s being offered only the large centres but that makes sense, yes!

@chloedecker yes, I think so. I actually got the text from my GP late yesterday, at the same time as DH, and just clicked the link to notify them that I had booked a jab elsewhere. I'm pretty sure that had I just waited for the text as he did, then I too would be going to the medical centre in SE22. A few local friends the same age as me are going to the SE22 centre during the week via GP texts etc. It's all academic I guess, just feels great to be where we are after waiting!

@TooManyPlates I have no idea which vaccine will be at Guys Atrium today but you can always call and ask Guys beforehand. They will tell you and you can also book direct with wherever you live. Guys No 1 and No 2 are very close to each other.

My DH was eligible yesterday and got a text from GP, when he followed the link his only option was Madjeski, and that’s for next week, we live in the Basingstoke area but nothing came up here for 1st shot. But maybe it’s not an option when booking through the site?

I have booked two people today for vaccines via national booking line: one Guys Vaccine No 1 late this afternoon - i know will be Moderna

My colleague went yesterday and it was Astra Zeneca. Will be interested to know what you friend gets as my appointment there is next week! (Nosey me )

Maybe. They did say centre 1 though as specifically we are both booked there hence the conversation. Don’t mind what I have or what they offer though

I got my moderna this morning at Basildon. Signs in room saying it us a moderna centre.

Atrium Vaccination Centre at Guy's is where I am going. Tbh I don't care which jab I get in the slightest - just keen to get it sorted and done.

curious what you will get. Think Atrium is separate to Centre 1 and 2. Wonder if Atrium is pfizer?

I got a text from my doctors to book earlier than the national site which offered appointments at a local (big) GP surgery (not mine, town next door) but the national booking site was the nearest vaccination centre

@Megan2018 My brother had moderna at east of England showground a couple of weeks ago. I assume they must be pretty booked up there at the moment as i couldn’t get a slot there for mine.

Guys Vaccine Centre No 1 was moderna
Aston Villa Holte Suite was AZ

DH had his today, at the same place as mine yesterday. Annoyingly he was much quicker and had no wait at all, I took about half an hour longer! Strange as when we booked on Thursday evening I could have had any slot all day, but today had much more limited appointments left.

Has anyone had Moderna at Moulton Park, Northampton recently? I had it there a couple of weeks ago and my dh is booked in there tomorrow, but it never comes up as available for the second appt for some reason?

Had my first dose of Oxford/Astrazeneca at the Penrith hub in Cumbria this evening. Was so well organised there, busy. I'm feeling fine so far and very grateful!
