Hi everyone, has anyone here had the Oxford vaccine and felt like death warmed up afterwards? I woke at 1am after having it at 3pm yesterday, shaking uncontrollably, freezing cold but boiling hot, I ache in places I didn't know I could ache, my tummy hurts, I feel sick, my head feels like it's in a vice and my eyes are really sensitive. My arms a little niggly but I'm bed ridden literally! When I get up I feel like I'm going to fall over. It's absolutely savage, didn't expect this atall 😩

I posted yesterday to say I felt pretty crappy after having the jab on Friday morning. I slept well last night though and have been much better today, the nausea has all but gone (just had a couple of very brief waves of it) and I'm lower in energy than usual but it definitely feels as though my immune system has calmed down a lot! I feel fairly confident I'll be back to normal tomorrow!

Had my AZ early this morning and feel rough now. Like I'm coming down with flu and feel sick

AZ at 4pm Friday. Fine Friday night. Expected the worse as both parents and uncle had it the week prior and we’re all in bed for 2/3 days.

Woke up 4am Saturday thinking ‘I feel sick?’ I’d taken the paracetamol and thermometer to bed as a precaution! Was surprised to feel fine I just needed the loo.

8am Saturday woke up feeling fine, but it crept up on me. Midday I was aching. 3pm I was feeling battered. I still feel the same now.

Overwhelmingly tired I’ve had a nap today (unheard of) and 10 hours sleep last night. Aching like I’ve even at the gym but heavy limbed too. Jet lagged feeling. Eyes aching.

No chills, fever, headache, nausea.

Several friends reporting that after short term effects gone they feel fine, but that there has been some longer lasting fatigue over several weeks with the AZ vaccine.

My sister just had hers this week - usual short term feeling ill - headache, shivers, temp up and down and feeling sick. Fine a couple of days later, same as me and DH.

We will see what happens.

I was a bit scared of the blood clot thing, but even if it is causal the numbers are tiny (no consolation if the tiny % includes you I know), and there's loads more risk of clots if you actually get Covid.

I had a 40 degree temp that started around 12 hours after the jab, so I stayed in bed. By the second day I felt almost normal, just tired.

I feel very relieved to have had the jab - feeling like I'd been for a night on the tiles with rowdy pirates was a small price to pay for feeling a bit more relaxed (once the 3 weeks of immunity building is done).

All the adults in immediate family will have had dose one within the next week or so. Thank God! Things will not be normal for ages yet, but it is such a positive feeling - moving forward and having at least some protection (nurse said 80% rather than the 60% plus I had read online).

First AZ jab Friday afternoon, arm ached if I lifted it but other than that felt fine.

Went to bed that night and felt so cold, was shivering uncontrollably. Managed to warm up enough to sleep but only got about four hours sleep. Dozed and got up for some breakfast. Went back to bed until quarter to two in the afternoon.

Spent the day feeling like I was recovering from a bug, felt urgh and did not feel like eating. Forced myself to eat some proper food and had a nap. Went to bed last night and today feel fine apart from a bit of an achey arm when I lift it.
