This is a thread for people who are unashamedly HAPPY Grin today about the roadmap out of lockdown.

We know there will be bumps in the road, but with the fantastic vaccine rollout and coming boosters that will attack variants, we are HAPPY and HOPEFUL today!! Grin

If you want to moan and groan and gripe, there are a trillion other threads for you Smile

I'm happy! With any luck I'll be able to go away in May and even if I can't, I feel as though the end really is in sight.

I’m very happy! A lot of milestone birthdays in the family coming up. We might even be able to see each other, even if it’s just in the garden! I’m going to go all out with parties and Sunday dinners together even though I am not a party person at all normally. Can’t wait to wander round the shops and not see each person as a potential hazard and have them see me as the same. Will be heaven. Even if it’s not exactly on those hoped for dates, the end is in sight.

I've been a pessimist (bordering on doom monger at times) throughout this, but I am so, so happySmile. I am going to have a very rare glass of wine tonight and make loose plans to see loved ones.

I am even holding a tiny glimmer of hope that we might be able to go Australia at Christmas to see my Dad, he has cancer and our trip last Easter was obviously cancelled Sad

My daughter has prom booked for the first week in July and a post gcse holiday plan that for the first time seems vaguely possible 😊. Her sister missed out on both last year so she will have some making up to do as well.

I'm happy! Delighted schools are going back & happy with all the predicted dates. 2 older teens here who have had their lives on pause for almost a year so this was very welcome timing. Roll on June 21st! There's hope for some of my summer plans yet.

So happy about the plan to emerge out of lockdown. It will so bloody lovely to have the all the children learning at school again in a classroom with a teacher and for them to be the first to benefit from the leverage afforded by vaccines.

And agree about all the DCs going back to school - fantastic! And this time around, the schools are geared up for social distancing etc, and masks.

I’m so happy, my husband is getting the vaccine tomorrow, he’s the most vulnerable in the family, daughter going back to school in 2 weeks, looking forward to a haircut, theatre, cinema, meals out, holiday, can’t wait 😊

I'm here and two glasses of wine down Grin I'm feeling happier today than I have in weeks, amazing what a proposed timeline can do to lift the spirits! And before the naysayers arrive, I've spent January scrutinising every hospital death we had (300 in all) and speaking to each and every bereaved person, so please, please, allow me to have this one bit of positivity...

So happy my children can go back to school and see their friends! I can't wait to see my friends again!! To go to the pub. I even did a little dance in my kitchen ( it was a sight to see) Grin

And galleries in April - and the Zoo (and I can get my haircut so as not to frighten the meercats).
