When did you last have a cold?

Am trying to focus on the positives and realised we haven’t had a single cough or cold all winter and that’s even with DH and I working full time. One of the pluses of not being sneezed on by strangers in Tesco Grin

Had one in September.

Markies · 09/02/2021 20:04

A few days ago - hadn’t left the house in over a week before coming down with it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

lunar1 · 09/02/2021 20:05

September when the children went back to school, very mild in comparison to normal. DS2 has not had a single asthma attack, he normally gets them quite often over winter when colds are doing the rounds.

His blue inhaler actually expired through lack of use which is a first!

vodkaredbullgirl · 09/02/2021 20:06

Probably about 4 years ago.

NovemberR · 09/02/2021 20:06

A long time ago. It's the one bonus of this year with the mask wearing, the distancing and the lockdowns.

I'm usually picking up everything that's going around.

chipshopElvis · 09/02/2021 20:08

Last February!!! Although I would happily take a cold in exchange for freedom at this point.

Needcoffeecoffeecoffee · 09/02/2021 20:08

Exactly the same as @Markies
I'd forgotten how shit having a cold is and then realised how long it had been. Before that was when the dc went back to school and dd caught that virus with a high temp which wasnt covid for anyone in school but lots of them were off and isolating rather than battling through it or having just 1 day off

ConeHat · 09/02/2021 20:08

Pre March 2020! But I did manage to catch covid still.

TempsPerdu · 09/02/2021 20:09

We’ve had loads - but then DD is at nursery and bringing everything home. It’s annoying but I’m actually pleased she’s being exposed to normal winter bugs and building up her immune system.

mum2jakie · 09/02/2021 20:09

2019!!

Vintagegoth · 09/02/2021 20:10

Last week, but I work in a school.

DinoHat · 09/02/2021 20:11

September too. Again quite mild.

Eaumyword · 09/02/2021 20:12

I work in a school and have had 2 colds since September! We were wearing masks in public areas until we went back beginning of Jan when I've worn a mask full time.
The key worker children don't wear masks and other staff tend to wear just a visor so I can only think it's a mix of airborne germs winging their way round regardless.

Quail15 · 09/02/2021 20:13

I've got one now ( and have had a few over the last year). Dd is at nursery so always bringing them home.

Iearn4pabovetheminimumwage · 09/02/2021 20:24

I can't remember between 15 and 20 years ago? I'm really germ-phobic. So being able to wear a mask and surgical gloves without embarrassment makes me feel really secure. I work with the public, not particularly covid-secure, so I am with covid positive people at least once a week. Who knows if I'll get it before I get vaccinated. I'm a lower priority. I wonder when we come out of this, if we will be more conscious of disease transmission and our health and that of others?

MasterCaution · 09/02/2021 20:25

Can't remember, maybe 5+ years ago.

ginislife · 09/02/2021 20:27

Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day !!

Mooselaurels · 09/02/2021 20:28

I haven't had one in years, my youngest got one in the first week back at school in September though.

starfish4 · 09/02/2021 20:42

December. Work in a school!

jerriblank · 09/02/2021 20:43

I had COVID in March 2020, but the last time I had a cold was in November 2019 I think.

RuleWithAWoodenFoot · 09/02/2021 20:43

September, December then 2 weeks ago. School.

Springhere · 09/02/2021 20:45

I had a nasty one in September, just after the children went back to school!

dudsville · 09/02/2021 20:46

I can't recall. I went for a cold walk in March and developed a minor throat irritation. Owing to covid I was sent home from work. Lockdown happened a week later arlnd I've been healthy ever since.

Doublefaced · 09/02/2021 20:46

‘ wonder when we come out of this, if we will be more conscious of disease transmission and our health and that of others?’

Am hoping that people will at least continue to wash their hands!
