I live in one of the most "behind" areas for covid vaccination - I am waiting for dh to have his vaccination as he is in one of the vulnerable age groups & has health issues. A friend in a county nearby has had their vaccine - in her 60's & as far as I know no health problems. I am not jealous just concerned for dh

North Scotland. Still doing the 80+ group here. Been very slow to set up sites.

Bettyboop89 · 29/01/2021 22:04

Over 75s and heading into the over 70s now.

West Yorkshire.

TheDogsMother · 29/01/2021 22:07

Ages 70+ here, rural West Sussex.

bellinisurge · 29/01/2021 22:12

70+ here in East Manchester.
I'm 55. January birthday pops me up a category.

yearinyearout · 29/01/2021 22:14

70+, but I also know some teachers have been called in for vaccines this weekend.

Delatron · 29/01/2021 22:15

Think we’ve just done over 80s here. I thought they were redistributing jabs to areas that are behind? Surprised to hear some areas are on then
65-70 age group when many 75/80+ haven’t been done.

Chasingsquirrels · 29/01/2021 22:16

My dad just checked again (my mum had a text last weekend and had hers) and has now booked it at Rowley Mile for Sunday.

78percentLindt · 29/01/2021 22:17

Think I am in an adjacent constituency to you OP ( Essex/ Suffolk border) DH (70) has an appointment on Tuesday for his first. He's waiting for another catheter ablation but his Consultant said he wasn't clinically vulnerable.

Think it also depends what capacity an area has.....eg in our area a hub was opened 3 weeks ago and they have been racing through the vaccines since then....whereas before when it was only being distributed to gap practices, it was quite slow
Kitkat151 · 29/01/2021 22:18

GP practices!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 29/01/2021 22:20

I only know of one person who has had it - my friend’s mum in her 80s. North of Scotland.

Zoomies06 · 29/01/2021 22:22

Over 75's at the moment here. Not long only just done nursing homes .

needadvice54321 · 29/01/2021 22:24

I don't know anyone in the older age group in our immediate area, so unsure

MIL is having hers on Sunday (different area) - she's early 80's. We think she delayed hers as FIL has been in hospital and it's been too much for her to deal with

Neighbours parents - different area again had theirs a couple of weeks ago (70's)

My Dad hasn't been called for his yet - same county as us but other side of it - 65+

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 29/01/2021 22:25

70+ here, South Warks.

My Mum is Wales (but only just) & they're only just doing the very elderly in her village (of the people she knows 4 in their 90's & I think around 5 between 85 & 90).

Echobelly · 29/01/2021 22:25

My parents and ILs have both had theirs this week - in neighbouring North London borough, all in 70-75 bracket. A few health workers I know have had too. My step-grandma, in her 90s, has actually had both, as she had her first one before they changed policy on follow up, so got given it within 3 weeks.

Howshouldibehave · 29/01/2021 22:26

My dad is 80 and has had his. My mum is 78 and hasn’t.

Pipandmum · 29/01/2021 22:29

Over 70s, but there are plenty of NHS staff who haven't been done yet.

CarryOnPlainHunting · 29/01/2021 22:43

I’m in an area which is apparently behind schedule for giving the over 80s their vaccines (75%) but several friends and neighbours in the 70-74 age group have been vaccinated or will be vaccinated in the next few days.

mumwon · 30/01/2021 00:14

@JengaJanga I managed to book him an appointment! Yay!!! thank you!!!
