I'm not sure if you should maybe give the doctor or 111 a ring?
Just in case it's maybe a kidney infection or something on top of the covid?

dublingirl66 · 25/01/2021 17:02

Thank you
Very unusual

I was just going to check on how you all are, so glad you are all doing well Smile
It might be a while before you are all back to normal but so glad you are all on the mend! x

SophieB100 · 27/01/2021 16:33

Glad you're all improving OP, you and your lovely DF.
Thanks for the update.
I hope you both continue to do well.
Rest when you can though - it's so important not to rush this.

dublingirl66 · 27/01/2021 18:40

Thanks so so much

It meant a lot to have reassurance on here especially the really bad days 😢😢😢

Hey @dublingirl66, hope you and family are still holding up. I would say it's taken me a good 2 weeks to feel anywhere near normal.

girlofthenorth · 28/01/2021 00:06

Glad to hear you are both recovering .

SeaToSki · 28/01/2021 01:36

@dublingirl66 you could try vit b12, NPAC and probiotics. But, ime, the only things that helped were rest, not pushing yourself physically and time (months). You have been really ill. Now you need to recuperate. This will mean minimal cooking, minimal laundry, minimal housework and what there is of these things shared out equally be the 5 of you. That's quite a change of mindset for most women.

dublingirl66 · 29/01/2021 18:27

Thanks so so much :)

Really useful

So true
Relax and rest

Share some of the work out

🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

dublingirl66 · 29/01/2021 18:28

What is npac??

OP posts:
Porcupineintherough · 29/01/2021 18:35

Sorry, typo. NAC N-Acetyl-Cysteine

It's a food supplement, commonly prescribed for coronavirus in the US. You can read up on it and decide whether to try it.

Really, really cant over-emphasise the importance of resting. I was on the lungs threads last spring (the place to hang our for those of us with COVID) and several people on them massively set back their recovery by over-exerting themselves in the early months.

dublingirl66 · 29/01/2021 18:37

Thank you so so much

Will look into it now

My friend had it and lives on her own, she caught it on the Sunday after Christmas but didn’t home down with symptoms for 5 days. She seemed to have a wobble about day 7 too if I remember. She felt breathless and wasn’t able to put a sentence together properly. She was throwing up and had a vile headache too. Fortunately she’s on the mend but says she feels like she’s been trodden on by a dinosaur from Jurassic Park. She did buy an oxygen monitor for her finger (about £20) and was told to dial 999 if her blood oxygen level dropped below 90%

dublingirl66 · 29/01/2021 19:43

Thanks so much

Yes I feel like a bus has drove over parts of my arms and legs

So bizarre

Hope your friend is ok now?

So glad my dad at least is much better :)

Interestingly he is healthy, took vit d and a good weight

How are you feeling now?

Glad to hear your Dad had started to feel much better! How is he now?

Lindy2 · 03/02/2021 12:11

I'm on day 12 and still feeling very washed out. I'm just so weak and dizzy. I've been nauseous so haven't been able to eat much.

I had really bad ear ache with it and my ears still feel all blocked. I don't know if I maybe have an ear infection now.

I'm very fed up with it all now.
