It's been done to death now. It was wrong, there's been apologies, it won't happen again. FFS please let it go now.

@User158340

Give the government a break. We're in a pandemic and they're trying their best. Boris owned it on PMQ's and thanked Marcus Rashford, yet he's still criticised. He can't win.
We're a year in nearly. I'd have said that on the first lockdown, and I did. But how many bloody chances? Other countries manage. Give people vouchers, job done. The government are utterly useless
Port1aCastis · 14/01/2021 21:09

No don't give the government a break don't be silly, hold them to account question why this is happening because it very obviously is dodgy and I will never give the corrupt numbskulls a break, bollocks I will!

glassacorn · 14/01/2021 21:13

@RizzleDrizzle

You seriously think it won’t happen again?!

Really you think that’s all it takes is an apology?!?!

And absolutely what gilead said, and this goes for any injudice and inequality if we keep quiet or just give up when some one says a quiet insincere “sorry” then we never change we never move forward and make things better!

It mightn’t affect you it affects a lot of people

I don't think it's been done enough. Billions on Track & Trace - what happened to that? And give children half a tomato & a bag of tuna. And then two days later, refuse to help at half term.

Ihatemyseleffordoingthis · 14/01/2021 21:21

Gosh yes, poverty and tory opportunism is so dull

It's already happening again, according to another thread - apparently it's not being provided in Feb half term. Food banks round here already struggle in half term holidays, let alone now.

With DC at that stage, I do indeed remember the OP from exam threads. I realise that the truth will be uncomfortable and inconvenient for those who would rather defend the OP, and by calling pps who are not bored by hungry children vile names, but there we are. The point I and others were trying to make - and without sinking to the name calling depths of these posters - was that the OP was being hypercritical to start a thread wanting to shut down discussion about FSM food parcels while at the same time feeling free to post plenty about her own DC and their exams - a subject that has also been discussed repeatedly and widely.

Good try but you can do both you know (and of course you remember the poster). Bit low to call her child names don’t you think and make it personal? I CBA to trawl back but I am sure you raised that calling someone’s child lazy is a bit of a vile thing to do.

You continue slapping yourself on the back though, all very admirable. Of course you assume I disagree with the op because that would make trawling through someone’s posting history fine.

It must depend on the poster I guess.

OHolyTights · 14/01/2021 21:40

Check your facts pp - that was not me.

Swiftjogger · 14/01/2021 21:41

Read my post properly, I didn’t say it was. I said I assumed you raised it?
Because surely that’s not an okay thing to do?

OHolyTights · 14/01/2021 21:48

You make a lot of assumptions pp, not based on any fact, but perhaps that does not concern you - you just want to have a go at a stranger on the internet. And I will save any back-patting for those hard up parents trying to do their best in this pandemic and for those trying to help them.

Buzzinwithbez · 14/01/2021 22:19

Of course it will happen again and we've only just scratched the surface of what has been wrong with this latest shambles.
