Why are takeaways the new target?

Not a TAAT but I've noticed a few people seeming quite sure that takeaways will be the next to close. Why have they become the new target? As far as I'm aware they haven't been linked to high transmissions. They're the only way a lot of restaurants and cafes have been able to survive. I admit I have a vested interest as I'm delivering takeaway to pick up some extra money.

Is this actually likely?

@almostslimjim then you should know better. Why is it okto have a takeaway meal if you live in town but in a village tough shit.

Well, ideally they'd close completely (you can't make most takeaway kitchens covid safe) but I appreciate that economically that's incredibly hard, so the safest way for them to operate is delivery only, and yes that means some people, like me, miss out. But I'm for the greater good.

I'd say deliveries are the bigger problem as I regularly see the drivers just sitting around chatting waiting for orders to be ready, not social distancing, no masks, etc. That's inside the premises, sitting in the seats where customers aren't allowed.

Just had a delicious takeaway delivered from our favourite Indian

Nurseries are the new target based on fuck all other than it’s one of the few things left to target. Usually from those who either don’t have small children or can’t remember what it’s like to have them.

Because there's a cohort of zealots who are enjoying salivating over other people's misery caused by lockdown, and want more and more and more of it.

We had an amazing Chinese last night, I might have to have an Indian next weekend!

A takeaway is about all I have to look forward to now and some of the miserable gits on here want to take that away!
