I am ECV and not having it because it's not been through rigorous testing, and as a single mum I do not trust this government with my well being or putting my best interests first. Why vaccinate elderly I n nursing homes above critical care workers who are vitally needed to keep the country running?

Someone said 'there's no evidence it affects pregnant women' Well that's just it, there really isn't that much evidence because it has been tested for at least one tenth of the time that a normal vaccine would have, plus its a new type of vaccine inserting man made dna into your body. The main thing really though is that they're protected from lawsuits if someone does get severe side effects, something im not seeing at all in the media when 'anti vaxxers' are being mocked for their stupidity

Completely agree with you @Atrixie.

I have concerns about the rush of it and long term affects
I also have a needle phobia which requires sedation or restraint, it was deemed unsafe to TRY take my blood in pregnancy. They made a song and dance about not knowing my blood type yet even after dd was born, they wernt willing to sedate or restrain me to find out then so getting that need met for a vaccination won't happen.

In 1958 my mother was prescribed thalidomide she even got as far as putting the tablet in her mouth and promptly spat it out she wasn't one for medication
Now I know if she was alive now she would be having this vaccine medication has come a long way since then

I work in the nhs. I haven't met anybody who is not getting it. Probably because we don't fancy resus, cpap, ventilation, proning, strokes and multi organ failure.

But just go pay a homeopath and they'll find a tailored cure for your particular Covid symptoms.

Neither of us is scared of COVID—I’ve had it and homeopathic treatment got rid of it quickly and without complications.

We are also taking supplements proven to be beneficial in preventing and managing COVID, namely vitamins d and c and zinc. Why the govt has ignored the evidence that these help keep ppl healthy is beyond me but maybe they are only interested in “solutions” that make profits for the pharma industry. Hope I am wrong there.

Those saying you won't have it because you are trying to concieve is bizarre. I had a terrible flu when pregnant. They believe as no other cause was found that caused my late miscarriage. Also having young babies and covid? Sounds horrific on top of normal sleep deprivation. I have young children and I have deliberately got my flu vaccination and as soon as I can I will get the covid one too. Making sure I do what I can to stop being ill when I have small people to look after seems pretty important to me.

Some of the comments on here are hilarious! The posters must feel so intelligent and that they're giving a really sound argument. Most of it is straight from the Daily Mail or Express type scaremongering. One is going to wait to guage how safe the vaccine is. Ignoring all the evidence and advice from scientists with years of experience. The 'science writer' with a partner who is a researcher 'in the medical field' is deliberately vague about everything. Claims to know that simple vitamins, dandelions and eye of newt prevent/cure covid. If only everyone else knew, huh. 'Its not about covid...it doesn't sit right', presumably meant to sound intelligent? It really doesn't.
If you don't want to have it, don't. But please don't give ridiculous reasons. It's all because you are scared of the vaccine, that's what it boils down to. Just don't expect to be part of society when things begin to return to normal because everyone else has done their bit.

I'm allergic to Penicillin but I've had my first dose (Pfizer) , they've updated the guidelines to allow this now. I've been fine so far ( day 3) slightly tender arm but nothing else.

Yes NHS consultant here. Had my first pfzier jab on Xmas eve. So glad I did, am likely to be redeployed to the Covid Wards from Monday, hoping I am even a little bit protected.

I am low risk but my trust can't afford anymore staff going off sick.

I won't be getting it.

Sorry if it's been mentioned on this thread but can I have the Pfizer jab if I'm allergic to the normal flu jab? (Poultry Protein, Egg in it led to shortness of breath and chest pain and I was advised I wouldn't be able to have that flu jab again)
