It’s back under a new name “clap for heroes.”

Not again! On the plus side it will remind me to take the bins out on Thursday evenings.

INeedADayOff · 06/01/2021 16:34

No...

twistedsistersocks · 06/01/2021 16:35

Who are the heroes we are meant to be clapping for?

BlowDryRat · 06/01/2021 16:35

This video about sums up what happened last time twitter.com/WillDHislop/status/1258457955189641224?s=09Twitter Grin

1dayatatime · 06/01/2021 16:35

Can we have a "Boris is a [insert expletive] " chant instead on Thursday night instead?

I'd be up for that

MadameBlobby · 06/01/2021 16:37

No

sourcreamnchives · 06/01/2021 16:38

No.

WilmaPantry · 06/01/2021 16:39

No not clapping.
I'd quite like to bang a few saucepan lids in protest at the appalling way they have been treated (lack of PPE, Covid Testing etc) but that would wake the bairns.

PachinkoFreeFood · 06/01/2021 16:40

No

Callipygion · 06/01/2021 16:43

If there’s a shout “fuck off” for Boris, let me know.

trappedsincesundaymorn · 06/01/2021 16:44

No.

megletthesecond · 06/01/2021 16:45

No. I didn't last time and I won't this time.

I'll keep on doing my best to avoid catching the virus. Haven't been to a restaurant, hairdressers or gym in almost a year. No bubble either. Saw family in the summer but decided we would rather sit tight and keep healthy over winter.

MostIneptThatEverStepped · 06/01/2021 16:46

God no!!!

AccountCreateUsername · 06/01/2021 16:47

That’s genius Titter - could someone with loads of insta/twitter followers get that going?

Impatiens · 06/01/2021 16:47

@Callipygion

If there’s a shout “fuck off” for Boris, let me know.
Oh please can we do this! A mass 'FUCK OFF' to Bozo the unfunny clown and his rancid troupe of incompetents.

No, I'm not going to clap for carers, it's just being used as something for the Gov to try to make themselves look better (which isn't possible).

FlatteredRhubardFool · 06/01/2021 16:47

Oh ffs that means the eejits in the corner will be back to clapping after going out on their many trips a day to the shops and having people over for breakfast bbqs. I shit you not. Breakfast bbq in the fecking snow ffs.

cushioncovers · 06/01/2021 16:47

No and I didn't last time either and I work in the Nhs. Instead of clapping people need to make noise about staff cuts and shitty wages.

GetOffYourHighHorse · 06/01/2021 16:48

'I'll do my bit by following the rules instead.'

This.

I'd much rather people concentrated on following the rules rather than doing something that gives them an excuse to chat to neighbours.

We did it last time, we won't be this time. What a load of patronising bollocks.

AccountCreateUsername · 06/01/2021 16:48

It’s starting! Let’s do it!! Obvs to booing / fuck off Boris every week instead

tinytemper66 · 06/01/2021 16:48

No. I show my support by doing what I can to minimize contact and the usual hand washing, wearing a mask and staying home where I possibly can.

likeamillpond · 06/01/2021 16:49

@twistedsistersocks

Who are the heroes we are meant to be clapping for?
Mainly people who are lucky to still be in paid employment. Which is my main issue with it.

Nobody denies that doctors and nurses are doingstirling work,
But, when all this is over, they will still have jobs a d a roof over their heads and food on the table.
Unlike thousands of others who's livelihoods have been completely ruined.
They are paid to care for people.
They are doing what they're meant to do.

Separateatone · 06/01/2021 16:49

No. Load of old shit.

Smacks of Tommeh, let’s look after are own [sic]

FlatteredRhubardFool · 06/01/2021 16:50

The twats in the corner banging pans at bedtime drive me nuts. Thanks for that.

Crapbuttrue · 06/01/2021 16:50

No.

likeamillpond · 06/01/2021 16:51

@cushioncovers
