94, been in level 3 or 4 since levels began (October?) , mostly 4 and now in 4 again for 3 weeks. Normal rate is about 70 ish. We're briefly over 100 due to a couple of small breakouts and extra non symptomatic testing.

Notnowokay · 26/12/2020 20:27

@UncomfortableSilence I’m think you live in the same borough as my dm. They mass tested secondary schools and at dsis secondary they had more pupils wanting to take part off it that they added few extra date last weekend. I hope that is why they have lot of under 60s testing positive. Then again they are cancelling lots of operations in the hospitals because of lack of bed.

I hope you feel better soon. Flowers

Here is my London borough

140 per 100,000. Scotland so all mainland is level 4 (our highest of 5 levels) from today. Rates decreased last week - obviously many people aren't happy to be in level 4 BUT I hope it helps stop the numbers getting as high as some of the posts above.

CarryOnFestiveNamechanging · 26/12/2020 20:33

190 tier 3

Judging from the high number of my neighbours who had mass family gatherings yesterday and today I suspect numbers will be rising somewhat in the coming days.

My understanding is that the new variant isn’t a factor here yet.

Millie2013 · 26/12/2020 20:35

232, tier 2, high numbers attributed to a cluster in a local prison
Numbers are apparently going down, albeit not by much

We also have a fair number of care homes locally and they accounted for apparently anomalous number during the spring, when the rest of the county was doing ok

MPolsted · 26/12/2020 20:36
  1. Tier three but mainly due to bed availability as opposed to numbers.
nancy75 · 26/12/2020 20:37

SE London, numbers have more than doubled in the last week.
It’s a huge worry as we are the London borough with the oldest population.
During the summer we were consistently the lowest London borough, it was around 4 per 100k for weeks - we were reasonably low until the Nov lockdown & suddenly it has rocketed.

Thank you.

Yes we are mass testing in schools, temporary test sites were set up at a few schools and a college. The school I work in had done amazingly until right near the end of term, we lost several teachers due to this mass testing where they tested positive but were asymptomatic.

DD1s school had a very bad time of it from October halt term onwards, some local schools were consistently having whole year groups out, it really has been the most difficult of terms.

Y11,12 & 13 were all given tests at the end of term to take home and do before the new term starts as were all school staff.

StormBaby · 26/12/2020 20:48

1157 👀

Iremembertheelderlykoreanlady · 26/12/2020 20:48

151, down from 153 last week.

Tier 3 since forever!

wasgoingmadinthecountry · 26/12/2020 20:51
  1. Similar near to the primary school I work in.

Currently 925 where dd's school is. One of the big problems in Kent is the number of children travelling right across (and into) the county daily for grammar schools by coach, bus and train. Then home again to spread the virus to their families. Lots of people travel 30-40 miles to dd's school and even more to the super grammars further up the county!

Mumofsend · 26/12/2020 20:51

BCP which is being counted separately to Dorset for some reason.

Still in tier 2

Thank you

So you definitely have increased death rates with the rising cases.

My own London borough is the odd ball then.

Ta for that.

williowrosenburg · 26/12/2020 20:51

I checked ours the other week and it's 400 in 100,000

It's now over 1000!!

But we are in a community testing area.

wasgoingmadinthecountry · 26/12/2020 20:52

Dd was down to 2 and 4 students in some of her A level groups towards the end of term!

On the last day of term dds school had 37 kids in - there are usually over 1600! Mixture of isolating, positive cases & teachers off.

Mumofsend · 26/12/2020 20:58

@MrsMiaWallis it will be whether it takes Dorset with it. Although I suspect a national lockdown may happen first

Dumpyandabdabs · 26/12/2020 21:00

194 in Northumberland.

In tier 3 and have been from the start, we have crept up in the last week so would think it will be 200 + by next week.
