@middleager

292 tier 3, but it's been higher. There are pockets of the city (Birmingham) though that are in the 4 and 500s.

Ah ok that maybe why they are considering tier 4 then, although if it equals out at 292 and there are pockets of 4-500 some areas must be a lot lower .

Aberforthsgoat · 26/12/2020 19:47

759 last time I checked and seems to be climbing every week. Tier 4. We were down to 11 per 100k over summer :(

cherryberrylicious · 26/12/2020 19:47

727! Tier 4

QueenPawPaws · 26/12/2020 19:47

258, tier 3

Nutrigrainygoodness · 26/12/2020 19:50

We are tier 2 at the moment.

I've just checked a few postcodes (mine, mums, friend) and really interested to see that the case rate by age in all of those areas shows almost half are under 60. Is that because over 60s are isolating more or is the new strain really grabbing younger people?

SellFridges · 26/12/2020 19:57

278 in South Birmingham. That’s about the highest it has been in our MSOA.

CosmicComfort · 26/12/2020 20:01

@littleowl1

Hope everyone has had a peaceful and healthy Christmas.

After 2 days "off" for CHristmas eve and Christmas Day, I am now back on duty and the table of cases in every council in England is updated with the latest data release from the govt. at www.covidmessenger.com

You can check the latest rate (cases per 100K) for any council in England quickly and easily. Sort by county (click the county column) to easily see all the councils in your county (given tiering decisions are now at county level, many now want to track cases per 100K in the councils across their county).

After a 2 day break from collating and publishing the cases data I wasn't quite expecting the incredible change in cases across the worst hit counties. Kent has been completely overtaken in recent days which is incredible especially given that schools have been out.

8 out 10 of the highest are London boroughs Shock

56 their 4. Totally ridiculous

Mcmole · 26/12/2020 20:08

125, level 4 Scotland

Inmyownlittlecorner · 26/12/2020 20:09

@Crunchymum Looking at your numbers I think I’m in the same London Borough as you. At least 11 people I know/work with who have tested positive in since the schools broke up, then there are the friends/colleagues of friends Who have tested positive & loads more isolating due to close contact. Haringey is also not looking good. At my friends school the teacher & 14 children in 1 class tested positive.

The curve for under 60 is pretty scary in my borough

If you are not sure of the latest cases rate per 100K in your council you can check it on www.covidmessenger.com - updated every day.
