Hope everyone has had a peaceful and healthy Christmas.

After 2 days "off" for CHristmas eve and Christmas Day, I am now back on duty and the table of cases in every council in England is updated with the latest data release from the govt. at www.covidmessenger.com

You can check the latest rate (cases per 100K) for any council in England quickly and easily. Sort by county (click the county column) to easily see all the councils in your county (given tiering decisions are now at county level, many now want to track cases per 100K in the councils across their county).

After a 2 day break from collating and publishing the cases data I wasn't quite expecting the incredible change in cases across the worst hit counties. Kent has been completely overtaken in recent days which is incredible especially given that schools have been out.

Tier 4, London. Over 700. Feels a bit like the first lockdown here now.

60... and we're in full lockdown as Wales is tier 4 nationwide.

Vellinbracelet · 26/12/2020 19:17

1118 per 100k
South Wales, very worrying

Josiemac93 · 26/12/2020 19:20

144 in York

MonsterKidz · 26/12/2020 19:20

48 per 100,000 here.
Not level 4, mainland Scotland.

That number had doubled over the past 10 days.

infinitediamonds · 26/12/2020 19:22

171 tier 4, Hampshire.

242 Hampshire. Tier 4.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 26/12/2020 19:32

174 - tier four like all of mainland Scotland as of today.

shinynewapple2020 · 26/12/2020 19:33

@TweeVi

Not looking good 😔

I don't think the West Midlands areas are doing too badly TBF. Yes they are rising again but fairly slowly/steadily . Some of the areas in south east have numbers but they have doubled in a week and actual numbers will be high in Birmingham because of the size of population. I have heard rumour of west mids areas going into T4 in January and I'm not sure this is needed . Although I think holding off sending the children back to school in January is a good idea .

SlipperyLizard · 26/12/2020 19:35

155 here in Stockport, been in Tier 3 forever and it is frustrating that we’re still here while areas with higher rates are in Tier 2.

AndwhenyougetthereFoffsomemore · 26/12/2020 19:35

422 - nearly doubled in a week (London/Surrey borders)

Flev · 26/12/2020 19:35

157, East Midlands. Slight increase in the last few days but pretty much the same as its been since early December. Tier 3 for months.

Chickenfingers · 26/12/2020 19:36

159 and in tier 3. Brill.

Lovemusic33 · 26/12/2020 19:38

92 tier 2

RudolphtheRemaindeer · 26/12/2020 19:41

79, just moved up from tier 1 to tier 2. A few weeks back we were less than 30 per 100k.

Live outside Glasgow

Cant remember last time restaurant pubs etc open all day, feel like we've been in lockdown since Sept

lavenderlou · 26/12/2020 19:43

1276 (!) One of the worst-hit parts of Essex. Hoping it goes down a bit while schools are shut.
