797 now. It’s jumped up

bearfood · 07/01/2021 21:52

My area was the highest in the country for a couple of weeks before Christmas. Mass testing has brought it down to top 20 now I believe. Pretty scary for a while there, but we've all had it in November.

Purplethrow · 07/01/2021 22:08

I am really concerned now , our numbers just keep increasing.

334 - I'm an area that was the highest in the country around Aug/Sept and we've been in strict local restrictions since then

KatyaZamolodchikova · 07/01/2021 22:35

261 up from 197 last week. We have never been out of some kind of additional restrictions, I have not been allowed inside with anyone since March 2020 I think...

We were relatively very high but are now on the lower side. I can only hope it stays this way.

mondaywine · 07/01/2021 22:40

240 here. It’s climbed quite a bit but nothing in comparison to some areas. However like others, we have had some sort of restrictions all through.

In Havering.

I run www.covidmessenger.com where you can check the cases per 100k for any council in England (see the table on the homepage updated daily).

I also did a short analysis of cases in Kent through Dec - Kent being a county with a high prevalence of the new variant since early Dec, we can gain insights into the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of social restrictions on the transmission of the new variant. Analysis here: www.covidmessenger.com/latest-analysis/

I will be monitoring Kent data over the coming days and weeks and will update the analysis periodically with new insights.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 08/01/2021 18:38

371 now (174 on 29/12, 186 on 30/12). So it's climbing but not as much as in some areas.

  1. Interestingly, I now know personally know six households with covid, and most of them have one person with symptoms, and the rest of the household positive but asymptomatic.
