It’s bloody terrifying. In March I knew one person who was ill- that was through work . Now I know loads, including a whole family literally around the corner. I for one do not want schools to go back in the normal form.

680 or so. Tier 4.

Raindancer411 · 27/12/2020 07:11

@AllGongNoDinner Yep Medway here too, and boy are our numbers bad :(

winechateauxjoy · 27/12/2020 07:29

72 and in full lockdown. But honestly I don't mind that if it keeps our rate down.

JacobReesMogadishu · 27/12/2020 07:32

394 and falling. Tier 3.

JacobReesMogadishu · 27/12/2020 07:34

And I have no idea how we’ve stayed in tier 3 when our rates are so mich higher than some I. Tier 4. Think they overlooked us! I’m sure we’ll be tier 4 by next week.

hettyhooverdoover · 27/12/2020 07:36

159 In the SW

Matilda03 · 27/12/2020 07:49

Essex. - feel like we're right in the epicentre now and hearing of so many people testing positive recently.

Wow the differences are crazy. Our numbers are going down, hope things stay as they are. We are tier 3 and have been in enhanced restrictions since September.

55 Isle of Wight. Tier 3

IndecentFeminist · 27/12/2020 08:14

It is reassuring to see the low death rates on the whole however. Like Matilda's

EgonSpengler2020 · 27/12/2020 08:30

@crossstitchingnana

55 Isle of Wight. Tier 3
Are you sure about that?!

I'm in a large university town, from September onwards our cases climbed to 800 per 100,000 which put us in tier 3, the students all left 3 and half weeks ago and our cases are now 132.... but it's definitely not the university students pushing up cases 🙄

It clearly was, but they didn't contribute to community spread. So that's good.
Chersfrozenface · 27/12/2020 09:06

684 cases per 100,000 people in the latest week 14 Dec-20 Dec. The average area in Wales had 676.

Wales went to Alert Level 4 on 20 December, The figures here look as though they had already started to come down a bit, so perhaps the next set of figures will be better. For a given value of 'better'.

IndecentFeminist · 27/12/2020 09:23

Depends where on the island @egonspengler2020 , some parishes are far lower. Cowes central is pulling the overall average up.

114 per 100,00
Now in tier 4 like the rest of mainland Scotland. All cafes, pubs, restaurants and nonessential shops are shut. School holidays extended until Monday 11th when online learning will start.

  1. We are still in tier 2 despite the rocketing numbers
DrunkenKoala · 27/12/2020 09:39

1,082. Medway, Kent.
Our numbers are still rising but not as quickly as a week or so ago.

Unescorted · 27/12/2020 09:43

141/ 100K, rising from 136 for the previous 7 days.
Total cases since the beginning of time - 2749
Deaths since the beginning of time 178

We are in T3 & have been for a while now. Out of 315 districts we are ranked at 294 according to the Covid Messenger website.

Daddyatethemincepies · 27/12/2020 09:45

Exactly a month ago we were 78/100,000 (tier 1).

Here we are a month later, 477/100,000 and in tier 4. It shows how quickly the tide can turn.
