Covid test results

Hiya

How long did it take you to receive a covid test result.

DH did his 4 days ago but hasn't heard back. Are they still giving results out on bank holidays?.

I'm now obsessively refreshing this thread as well as my emails to see if people are getting their results.
Just ate a load of flamin hot wotsits. My mouth feels burny but I couldn't taste them. I'm normality very sensitive to spice.

Got mine early hours Christmas morning, having tested Wednesday 23rd. Think it was 42 hours in total.

I had mine at 3.30pm yesterday and had results by 10am this morning. Very impressed with that considering it was Boxing Day.

Had my test 11am Christmas Eve and it came back at 1am Boxing Day - so 38 hours and presumably everything is operating as normal over the Christmas period for it to be so quick. I'm in NW England btw.

Meant to say - it was negative thank goodness

My last one took 10 days and came back inconclusive. I get tested weekly and had actually had my next swab before I got the results. Usually less than four days though even when busy.

Posted yesterday (boxing day) got results this morning

Tested yesterday in Manchester. Results back this morning. 20 hours.

Posted Wednesday and results this morning (negative).

Still nothing here: 120 hours so far (5 days)

Same @CityDweller, 116 hours. I'm waiting for yours as mine should be after.

Do you think a whole batch could be lost?

120 hours here now and waiting on results for 4 of us. I think the whole batch from that collection in the SE may have gone astray or hasn’t been rotated as it should.

Just got mine! Almost exactly 5 days. So hopefully you’ll get yours later today @Devoilmum and @Treacle200

Negative. Which is good/odd as I was becoming increasingly convinced I had it (took test as requested by Zoe app) as I have so many of the symptoms that anecdotally are associated with Covid (fatigue, increased allergy symptoms, stomach upset, sore eyes, headache, muscle aches) - must just be another virus.

Oh great news @CityDweller - fingers crossed. I’ve had such a headache for almost a week now but hopeful for a negative as we need to make a support visit to a vulnerable relative

@CityDweller. Great news!!! I have loss of taste buds but not smell, dizziness, sore throat, headache (not unusual for me though).

I tested Wednesday and had the result Saturday. Negative thankfully.

47 hours here now .... everyone saying 100+ is making me nervous!!

Dh was tested Boxing Day and got results yesterday evening so it's not necessarily a long wait.

120 hours and still waiting, I called 119 and they are chasing up the 3 tests we are waiting for in our house. Test central was Guildford, Surrey

@Feelingfree It does appear the delays are in the south east.

We did ours on Xmas day at 1.30pm and results were back 3am Boxing Day. Was impressed how quick. Mine was negative but daughters was positive so waiting for the rest of the house to get symptoms now!!

Getting into 6th day today - but posted. In SE.

My ds has a test on Boxing Day no result yet but in SE so sounds like it could be a few days yet 😬

I’ve just called to chase - someone answering today. Our tests have been registered- just caught up in backlog but hopefully well receive results today now.
