Omni vaccine queue calculator

DirtyDancing · 18/12/2020 11:30

Has anyone seen this? It is showing I will get my vax over the summer which seems much earlier than I would have thought (40s, no underlying conditions)

Does anyone know anything about this calculator?

www.omnicalculator.com/health/vaccine-queue-uk

NB I do not want to give an false hope, which we’ve had a lot of with the ups and downs of lockdown, so I want to declare I do not know how reliable this is. Can anyone advise?

I think it is based on 1m vaccinations being administered a week which from everything I've read about it seems wildly unrealistic.

Mine says Sept 2021 so it still feels a long way off to me.

TheGreatWave · 18/12/2020 11:52

Well between June and September. Nowt like erring on the side of caution.

TheGreatWave · 18/12/2020 11:53

My work bosses seem to think we are all going to be vaccinated by end of January.

DirtyDancing · 18/12/2020 11:56

@TheGreatWave what do you do? If you’re in a care home maybe...

OP posts:
LynnAnneBenfield · 18/12/2020 12:02

I just did it, I'm in my 30s and work in a care home, no underlying conditions etc

Apparently I've already had it!! HmmGrin

I haven't obviously! But that's how inaccurate it is

LindaEllen · 18/12/2020 12:02

It says September for me, but if I'm being honest, I can't see it ever coming round to me - a healthy 30yo.

viccat · 18/12/2020 12:05

I'm late 30's with no underlying conditions and not a health worker and it estimates between late June and mid-September 2021. I think realistically that's the best I can hope for although I'm not sure it's taking into account the Covax agreement about no country being able to get vaccinations for over 20% of the population until the others have?

JanewaysBun · 18/12/2020 12:29

The one person who I think needs it is my dad and he's no. 10 mil!

DirtyDancing · 18/12/2020 13:39

I am desperate for DM and DMIL to get it. Both need it desperately... they seem to be 6-9m in the queue. I won’t put their hopes up, but it’s definitely put mine up for them both.

Between June and September for me, which as I’m 36 and have no health conditions seems fine. If it’s later then it’s later... I’d rather elderly and vulnerable people in developing countries get it before I do.

User3billion · 18/12/2020 14:43

Completely unrealistic to be honest.

CrochetToTheMoon · 18/12/2020 16:23

Hmm not too bad, it estimated I should get mine between 22nd Dec and 18th Jan and I had it yesterday

bumblingbovine49 · 18/12/2020 16:28

Mine says I'd get he vaccine between March and April of next year if 1m a day vaccinated but I reduced it to calculate based on 0.5m a day out and it put me in June 2020. That seems great to me, I thought it would be longer for me. I'm feeling upbeat about that

mumsneedwine · 18/12/2020 16:29

Says my mum should get it by tomorrow. Care home have not been given any details of when so this is stupid.

ancientgran · 18/12/2020 16:33

I think I broke it, accidently put DH down as 744 instead of 74!

Frazzled2207 · 18/12/2020 16:41

pretty sure this tool is not using any official data so really is a how long is a piece of string scenario

The 20% will only be enforced for the vaccines actually supplied via the Covax programme. Lots of countries also have private agreements with vaccine manufacturers and as much as the WHO would like totally equal distribution, they've said they recognise that the countries with such agreements are also the ones funding Covax and aren't going to stand in their way.
secretlyhappy · 18/12/2020 16:58

I am 45 and I have schitzoaffective so should get the jab between March and April if they count a person who is stable with meds as severe. Otherwise between July and September.

I agree with this! I was saying why am in more priority than an elderly Grandma in X Country. I wish we could do a global 70+ First

I'm classed as ECV but not in any of the older age groups. It says roughly February for me. I will be very happy if that comes off.

WanderingMilly · 18/12/2020 17:12

It says between April and May 2021 for me....to be honest, that's what I would have expected given my age group, it would be fine if it were true....although I have my doubts.

RedRiverShore · 18/12/2020 17:16

Mine also says April-May. We shall see...

hettyhooverdoover · 18/12/2020 18:08

It says next week for me? But I'm yet to hear.

Jenasaurus · 18/12/2020 18:25

I am 55 and overweight, I got this result

Based on your profile, there are between 20,728,685 and 23,842,145 people in front of you in the queue for a COVID vaccine across the UK.
📅 Given a vaccination rate of 1,000,000 a week and an uptake of 70.6%, you should expect to receive your vaccine between 12/05/2021 and 03/06/2021.
