Has anyone seen this? It is showing I will get my vax over the summer which seems much earlier than I would have thought (40s, no underlying conditions)

Does anyone know anything about this calculator?

NB I do not want to give an false hope, which we’ve had a lot of with the ups and downs of lockdown, so I want to declare I do not know how reliable this is. Can anyone advise?

I was kind of hoping that if the Oxford vaccine was rolled out, then these estimates would be broken by miles! If 50 year olds aren't estimated until end of June now, and everyone else in September that won't mean much normality by the summer. The estimates are based on 1-million a week, which at the moment seems wildly over-estimated, but might be closer to what will happen in Jan/Feb when there are more supplies, but I don't know if it includes the Oxford vaccine in the estimates. I guess it must do, as there isn't enough Pfizer yet for everyone anyway. Don't know when Moderna might come - been approved in US but not yet UK. We've only ordered 7 million of those anyway.

Nobody knows how long immunity lasts or whether it'll be a yearly jab yet - fairly likely though I think.

Im 49 and it says June - September for me. Im the only surviving parent as my dh died a couple of years ago, so if I die of corona before I get the vaccine my kids can go and live with my parents in their 80s as they'll have already had the vaccine.

Dec/Jan for me which is about right according to my employer.

I think once the healthcare and care workers and the most vulnerable have been done we will find the world opening up again.

iVampire · 19/12/2020 09:11

I did it for my DMum - and the first day of the date range it suggested is the day her jab is booked (she’s over 80 and CEV)

Mine predicted as late Jan/early Feb (CEV)

I agree with this! I was saying why am in more priority than an elderly Grandma in X Country. I wish we could do a global 70+ First

I agree, and I'm glad UK is part of COVAX - a global scheme to inhibit the rich buying up all the vaccine supply until the 20% most vulnerable worldwide have had the chance of a jab.

March/April for me - in my 30’s and diabetic

Topseyt · 19/12/2020 12:14

Mine says April - May 2021 for me. I do hope so.

TiddyTid · 19/12/2020 12:19

I'm 49 in May and mine says June - Sept 2021 and my kids 23 and 25 July-Sep. DH is 55 and his is March to May. My parents in January
