Turns out I was worrying unnecessarily about my Christmas delivery.These subs/ missing items are not bad at all, out of a £340 shop. I had visions of being left with Brexit beans and Remarksable pasta for the festive period!!

My Ocado shop came this morning- nothing missing and only one substitution which was one kind of bacon for another. Was very, very pleasantly surprised. Hope everyone else gets theirs.

One of my subs is for a double the price item but if I don't accept it then I either go without or go to the shops just for that item so I'm sucking it up (it does look lovely, to be fair, just much pricier)

For those who jumped to Waitrose. My large Christmas order from them (from a smallish store) arrived yesterday all correct apart from no Christmas cards (neighbours will have to miss out this year). Phew. The carrot/swede ready mash was the only thing with a date shorter than Boxing Day

In case anyone hasn't had the notification, they've suspended bag collection in Tier 4 deliveries.

I feel like Ocado should be able to ring fence things as it's not coming from a shop. Especially with so much notice!

I'm pretty sure they did in past Christmases. It was one of the reasons I began with Ocado - unlike other supermarkets there were very very few OOS items. Their stock system meant that if it was in your basket it was reserved, especially at Christmas.

Other supermarkets seem more sensitive to OOS these days.

Driver couldn’t take mine yesterday - we’re Tier 3 so it’s a national thing. Text message had just landed to tell me about it! They will still be charging for bags this time, but say they will refund them all in due course Hmm so keep a note of how many you’ve had!

I've had a revelation....
Just come to put the box the party pack food came in, in to the recycling. Out fell a leaflet, where, amongst lots of other info were directions on how to cook from frozen, so all good.

Mine is arriving, a big shop (We are a large family. No subs and no short dates). I have moaned about them before but actually, they have pulled Christmas off.

My order is due imminently and says just one missing item, sausage rolls, so I'm pretty pleased. All the dates are good too.

In my order today, I had quite a few missing items, fresh meat, seafood and a couple of frozen Picard items. They've sent an email saying this was due to technical problems at their warehouse.

Obviously their Christmas Elf helpers are slacking! Xmas Hmm

Also a few substitutions, mostly sensible, but smoked mackerel unavailable so they sent kippers instead! They actually sell about six different types of smoked mackerel so why not send one of those?
I know kippers are another smoked fish, but they are normally used for different types of meals.
I kept the kippers because I didn't want the driver rooting through the fresh produce, tipping up things that needed to be kept flat. I will use them for a breakfast!

But, these are minor problems in the world today. The driver was lovely, helpful and jolly and smiling, and I've got plenty of nice food. Who could ask for more really?

I'm tipping our veggie box person and milkman, because they are consistently the same people and I'm jolly grateful for them.
