Just for fun and a general nosey.

If everyone was vaccinated and/or covid disappeared, here is my list of things I would do.

Visit my 6 week old niece - havent met her yet.

Spend time with all of my siblings and their families.

Have a brew with my mum and dad.

Catch up with friends. Board game night needed asap.

Go to a pub (I don't even drink, I just want the vibe).

Mooch around the local shops in the nearby seaside town - they are mostly independent shops and I have wanted a browse for years but the kids would be bored so I haven't yet.

Go to a music festival in summer.

Start going to gigs (haven't been to one in years).

Take my kids to London - eldest has been harping on about this all lockdown. We live in the north.

Visit my relatives in the south. This could tie in nicely with said London trip.

Go on a well deserved holiday abroad. Don't care where, but I've not been abroad in years and not holidayed at all since 2017.

Visit friends in Scotland.

Nothing like a pandemic to make you realise how much you miss having freedom.

What would everyone else do?

Visit my parents. I'm not bothered about hugging them, I just want them to see and play with their grandson in person. Video calls just don't work with a 1 year old.

SwedishEdith · 06/12/2020 22:38

Have the house to myself.

Woahisme · 06/12/2020 22:46

Oh yes, ds1 needs an eye test and I've been putting it off

Stay with family and not have to deal with my kids for a couple of hours.

Have a party
Go abroad somewhere exotic
Go out for meals with my friends and have them round to my house

Returnofthemaccys · 06/12/2020 23:19

The people who can't wait to get back to the office blow my mind. Honestly. Hang out all day with a bunch of people you haven't chosen to, in a soulless office at the end of a commute and buy a pret sandwich? No thanks.

I'd not do much different but I would like to browse some shops and hang out with my parents.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 06/12/2020 23:20

Have a party to celebrate all the things we missed, including mine and my 4 closest friends 30ths.
Go out without a fucking mask. Thats what I'm looking forward to most.

YellowHighlighterPen · 06/12/2020 23:23

See my 90 year old aunt who is very ill.
Surprise people by becoming a hugger (I will always ask firstWinkSmile)
Holiday abroad.

Start dating.
Yoga.
Have another holiday.
Go to pubs, gigs, restaurants, parties with groups of people.
See an opera.

Just getting out there really.

Brunt0n · 06/12/2020 23:42

Oh and yes we’ve talked about booking a local place and having a big family party next summer and i’m going to throw a massive event at work too

bingowingsmcgee · 06/12/2020 23:49

Lots of play dates with multiple kids. Soft play. Group camping. Sleepovers. Parties. hugs.

Tumbleweed101 · 06/12/2020 23:59

Make the most of freedom! Didn't realise how many options we had until they were taken, for example, freedom of travel and to just potter about happily in the world.

mrshonda · 07/12/2020 00:03

Sleep without worry and fear for the first time in months

PleaseLetIanBeDead · 07/12/2020 00:06

Take my gran out for lunch to the garden centre.

Go to Aquafit class.

Hug so many friends.

monkeytennis97 · 07/12/2020 00:26

See my mum and dad inside

See my DC as freely as before.

Stop worrying about the fact that my job could kill me.

Play in my 3 orchestras again (I know I will cry when we finally get back to rehearsals).

Sing in choirs again.

See friends in restaurants.

Go to concerts up in London.

Bubbinsmakesthree · 07/12/2020 00:32

I fear I have so normalised social distancing that the idea of being in a crowded club or theatre or something just seems completely insane! So I guess I’m looking forward to a time when normal stuff just feels normal again.

I’d like to give my dad a hug.

I’d like to take the kids for a ride on the top deck of the bus just for fun.

Theodoreb · 07/12/2020 05:36

Hug my nan,

Go to Alton towers for a weekend (was booked for October but had to postpone)

Go to see Guns N' Roses fir my sons first concert (again was booked for June but postponed)

Go to Disney land in Paris.

Rapunzel91 · 07/12/2020 07:13

I just want to be able to book a plane ticket and see my family. They're missing almost a whole year of not seeing my toddler, their only grandchild and niece😔
