But look whats come true now, Wales have introduced a health passport.

When some of us were raising this we were told it won't happen, we are unhinged and conspiracy theorists spouting out rubbish.

Look whose laughing now...welcome to your new normal and it'll be be coming to rest of us too.

i got a similar card when i had the mirena inserted - purely as a reminder of when it needed to be replaced!

cant see the link with all the wild conspiracies about resets and new world order personally...

Katgolde · 02/12/2020 15:36

Many conspiracy theories are completely unbelievable, but occasionally one turns out to be true, so it's worth keeping at least a slightly open mind. If there is dodgy stuff happening somewhere, then if or when someone has suspicions, then of course those involved will say it's rubbish and a crackpot theory. They aren't going to say "Yes, you're right! We've been misleading you all along!" Be sceptical of conspiracy theories, for sure, but also be sceptical of "the powers that be" and their motives.

byvirtue · 02/12/2020 15:36

Having a card in principle is fine, it’s if it becomes a tool to participate in society that will be concerning.

pinkearedcow · 02/12/2020 15:40

Well I am in Wales and am pissing myself laughing at you.

As others have said it is just a record of the vaccination date, a reminder for the next date, type and batch of vaccine etc. My cat has something similar. Also, that info. will be needed for when vaccine recipients all keel over from the after effects of having a 666 nano chip implanted into their arms. My mate's cousin's sister's friend works for Bill Gates and Hilary Clinto'ns pizza delivery boy so I knows this to be true.

satnighttakeaway · 02/12/2020 15:47

When I had a cat she had a vaccine record card for reference, this isn't any different is it?

Do you have a link for it being used in any other way?

BathshebaWasOnTheRoof · 02/12/2020 15:54

Jeez OP it’s a vaccination record and it’s a bit of a leap to turn that into some kind of health passport. I used to live overseas and my record card is an actual booklet.

The most important info was the date of when the boosters were due or when the third rabies shot had to be administered.

KaptainKaveman · 02/12/2020 16:00

My dd had to give vaccine updates to university.

The little red books for babies document vaccinations don't they?

Is the thread title supposed to.say nut job? OP? I don't know if you qualify as a nutjob but your attempt at histrionics and hyperbole hasn't really worked, has it? I mean, keeping a record of a vaccination isn't up there with Shergar on the moon, or lizards in Buckingham Palace is it? Wink

RufustheSniggeringReindeer · 02/12/2020 18:03

Ive got no records of any jabs ive had

And neither have the children (past babyhood)

Not got a major issue with it but it would definitely be new for me

midgebabe · 02/12/2020 18:08

I don't have a record, but there is a link on our doctors website where I could download my list if I wanted it

MinnieMD · 02/12/2020 18:08

I got one of these with my Nexplanon implant, well at least that’s what I think it was.

The OP doesn’t know just how fool proof the process needs to be for people return for their second dose on time and in the right place.

Then again maybe the process is targeting people like the OP.

Goldensnitchy · 02/12/2020 18:16

Wow paranoid much? 😂

whataballbag · 02/12/2020 18:20

I carry a card saying I've had the implant... don't see the difference?

alpinia · 02/12/2020 18:21

Eh?! You know most people who travel to countries that require vaccinations have a yellow vaccination passport book already?! It's great, tells you when you need a booster etc. It's totally normal to have a record of these things, and totally normal for many countries to request to see this before boarding/on arrival. I will bring my vaccination passport to the appointment for the coronavirus one when it happens so it can be properly recorded too. This really isn't the big conspiracy some seem to be hoping for...

Media report state:

Wales' Health Minister Vaughan Gething says people who receive Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine there will receive an immunisation card from the NHS to show as proof they have been inoculated against the virus

Why do you need to prove you had the vaccine? If its an innocent card given to you to remind you then why is the language the health minister us using to say its to prove.. prove to whom? To yourself?

Maybe you should tell us what you suspect they're up to.
FrenchtoEnglish · 02/12/2020 23:31

I just had a flu jab. The doctor gave me a bit of paper that said I'd had a flu jab. The massive fucking prick. I bet he's tracking me now. Pervert.

Weallfloatdownhere · 02/12/2020 23:36

😂

Bobtheshark · 02/12/2020 23:36

For Covid it would be better to give immunity proof surely. The vaccine doesn’t mean you’ll definitely be immune!

Check in staff? Border patrol? Qantas have already said they will require proof of vaccination before you can board. This is fine by me as I don't live in the same country as my mum and would really like to see her again one day.

EBearhug · 02/12/2020 23:50

The doctor gave me a bit of paper that said I'd had a flu jab.

Mine didn't. I wasn't in there long enough.

I feel short-changed. It's like when I was one of the last of the day to give blood and they'd already packed away the stickers. Not that I hold a grudge or anything.

lurker101 · 02/12/2020 23:53

@RufustheSniggeringReindeer if you’re in the U.K., you can sign up for your GP surgery’s online service - I have signed up for mine, it’s called systmonline (probably a U.K.-wide thing) and it lists all my vaccines from birth. Interesting and really handy for when to get boosters for travel vaccines

Unsure33 · 02/12/2020 23:54

Does not make sense . Is wales not run by a Labour government ? The conspiracy theories don’t add up.
