Exit lockdown? *stupid question alert!*

I’m getting very confused about when all this is actually over watching Boris and his statement in the commons and a quick google makes it no clearer!

On which day will I be able to walk out of my front door and no longer be under lockdown? Wednesday 2nd or Thursday 3rd?

Boris just seemed to imply Wednesday, and my daughters gymnastics have said the same. But I assumed it would be the Thursday because then it’s 4 whole weeks.

I thought he said Thursday. Could well be wrong though. I only half listen to him!

I thought Thursday but wasn’t watching. Let’s be honest, if he announces a retail and pub free for all no one will be waiting another day (and why would they?).

I originally thought Thursday but he did seem to say we open up again on Wednesday...

I was only half listening , but Thursday js the day when the tiers will be announced for each area.

It's up till 12 am on the 3rd. So the whole of the 2nd apparently.

It's all clear as mud anyway.

I'm mostly hoping we can go back to household mixing (in groups of 6 of course!) in tier 1. We've moved DDs birthday sleepover by a week to Sat 5th and she'll be devastated if we need to cancel.

We’ll all be in Tier 3 anyway I reckon, so probably not much difference.

No pubs/bars/restaurants to open in tier 3 - surely this cant happen.

We were in tier 2 before lockdown 2.

I think there’ll be very few in tier 1 now. There are trade offs though I suppose - if we’re in tier 2 we can’t see my parents still, but my kids will be thrilled to do there activities, and I can play hockey and go to the gym. When I write it down like that it does seem a bit mad though.

The guidance on gov.uk published today says shops etc can open on Wednesday 2nd

The PM did say "from next Wednesday" we can leave home for any reason subject to the rule of 6. However, that is wrong as the lockdown should end at midnight on Wednesday 2nd December.

I was wondering - I normally see my PT on a Wednesday but looks like I'll have to wait another week.

Suspect we'll be tier two this time around but doesn't really make much difference to us. Will anyone be in tier one, I wonder?

I think indoor mixing is only allowed in tier one - if you are in tiers two or three you won't be able to have sleepovers.

This is all happening NEXT Wednesday Demented. On Thursday this week, they’ll let us know we’re all in Tier 3 so we can get used to the idea.

I thought the tiers were being announced this Thursday (26th) but the lockdown is being lifted next Wednesday (2nd).
