Would you go to centre parcs this December?

OP posts:
Hazelnutlatteplease · 04/11/2020 20:54

Not if i wanted to do any of the inside activities

ChristmasCantComeSoonEnough · 04/11/2020 20:54

I wouldn’t as they are limiting swimming pool visits which is where we normally spend most of our time. No reduction in price though.

PhylisPrice · 04/11/2020 20:56

Yes because I would love a break and I'm sure they will have loads of precautions in place. I wouldn't expect to be able to get a table for food every evening or do much swimming/indoor activities but it would still be nice to get away.

kazza446 · 04/11/2020 20:58

No. The prices are ridiculous. The time in the subtropical swimming pool is limited and is a breeding ground for germs.

Sayitaintsoiwillnotgo · 04/11/2020 21:01

Booked to go but as 3 households seems unlikely.

userxx · 04/11/2020 21:01

If centre parks was my thing I'd go 👍

ChristmasCantComeSoonEnough · 04/11/2020 21:01

That’s the other problem, we have regularly come away with serious stomach bugs so I wouldn’t risk it this year with Covid on top of that.

TheBiscuitStrikesBack · 04/11/2020 21:02

Yep. We were there a few weeks ago and it was great. I felt very safe.

HeronLanyon · 04/11/2020 21:03

Even if a centre parc holiday (do you stay there?) was my thing I wouldn’t even think of going at the moment (or during this whole shitshow).
Good luck either way op.

Spacemonkey2016 · 04/11/2020 21:04

Yep. Had our holiday cancelled because of lockdown. Rebooked for 7th December, keeping everything crossed. Obviously not ideal with later arrival/earlier leaving/limited swimming, but it's our annual holiday. Determined to make the best of it if we get to go.

Floralnomad · 04/11/2020 21:08

We were booked to go 30th November but I requested a cancellation last Saturday , mainly because my daughter has anxiety and if I was going to end up getting food delivered every night rather than eating out it wasn’t worth it for me .

GreekOddess · 04/11/2020 21:10

I've recently come back from there and have to say that surprisingly we had a great time!

Ignoringequally · 04/11/2020 21:11

We’ve got it booked for December, hoping it goes ahead.

PatchworkElmer · 04/11/2020 21:13

No- I wouldn’t want to use the pool or any indoor facilities. If it was cheap I’d be happy to go and stay in the cabin/ do lots of outdoor activities.

shinynewapple2020 · 04/11/2020 21:22

What @PatchworkElmer says

Didntgetmydiamondring · 04/11/2020 21:24

No

Ginogineli · 04/11/2020 21:26

I don’t worry about covid so if service same I would but if I could swap I would if it meant sub standard service

donquixotedelamancha · 04/11/2020 21:26

Oh god no.

Bagelsandbrie · 04/11/2020 21:27

God no.

Surely it won’t be open anyway?!

GameSetMatch · 04/11/2020 21:28

I should be going on 14th December for our annual Christmas family get together but we’ve cancelled it. I had to cancel in the summer too!

JingsMahBucket · 04/11/2020 21:30

Is it really that difficult for people to stay the fuck home?

Ignoringequally · 04/11/2020 21:33

Not at all, while everything is closed I will ‘stay the fuck home’ (well, I’ll just stay at home, don’t know why we have to give up on grammar and add ‘fuck’ in there).
But when things are open and permitted, I will go.

Numberblock7 · 04/11/2020 21:33

No. It’s simultaneously too restricted to feel fun for us but not restricted enough to feel safe. Plus I would only want to go there in spring/summer/early autumn, December is too wet, dark and cold to enjoy the outdoor stuff.

Ignoringequally · 04/11/2020 21:33

Sorry, should have quoted @JingsMahBucket there.

GreekOddess · 04/11/2020 21:35

@JingsMahBucket . I'm sure the OP is talking about when lockdown is over 🙄
