My single neighbour has a woman round

Neighbour is an eternally single batchelor - he appears to have pulled a woman and is getting her drunk in his living room (naaaice). He does this from time to time. I can hear them through the walls.

Without going into details he’s a selfish arse - should I report him? If I do l, he’ll surely know it’s me. Will anyone actually care?

OP posts:

Mind your own business. So what if he is an arse. He might be that way as he may be desperately lonely. I bet you don't live alone and therefore have no clue what its like at the moment. You sound way too over invested in a your neighbours lives and I suggest you butt out

giantangryrooster · 25/10/2020 23:45

@FetchezLaVache
Was just about to suggest this, so op don't miss out Grin.

Derbee · 25/10/2020 23:47

If you decide you’re enough of a wanker to report him, go ahead. Probably best to go to bed and resist the urge though.

Fawnfour · 25/10/2020 23:48

Honeybobin
Did you really just call OP that?
That's disgraceful

FetchezLaVache · 25/10/2020 23:50

@user102740264923

You're publishing commentary on another person's private life online. What does that make you?
Exactly
nomdeplume2019 · 25/10/2020 23:52

@IcedPurple

I think this thread should be moved to MN Classics or otherwise preserved for posterity. Because in time to come, without hard evidence, people simply won't believe the sheer insanity of these days, or just how easily some people would happily turn into neighbourhood Stasi.
👌
baroqueandblue · 25/10/2020 23:52

Look OP, he's just not that into you. Have a bitter lemon nightcap, get over yourself and go to bed.

WaxOnFeckOff · 25/10/2020 23:55

Single people in a relationship are allowed to visit each others homes, but mainly keep your beak out of other people's business.

No idea what this country is coming to, it's like fecking 1984.

BilboBercow · 25/10/2020 23:56

You're making really unpleasant insinuations about this man based on the fact that he's drinking with a woman and that several years ago there was a woman in his house and she MAY have been upset when she left.
I hope you don't drop these kinds of hints around people IRL.

Butchyrestingface · 26/10/2020 00:39

No! Why would you do that???

Because she hates him. Can't you tell?

BananaPop2020 · 26/10/2020 00:45

@FetchezLaVache 😂😂😂

BooksAreNotEssentialInWales · 26/10/2020 01:02

The police aren't there so you can get revenge on neighbours even if they are arses.

biscuiteer · 26/10/2020 01:11

@NC4Now

I don’t think being an arse is illegal. Not yet, anyway. Maybe when we move to tier 4.
Haha! Yes wait til tier 4 op :)
midsomermurderess · 26/10/2020 01:15

Who would you report this to?

Coyoacan · 26/10/2020 01:17

I vote this for Mumsnet Classics too. It is so stereotypical it almost unique.

jessstan1 · 26/10/2020 01:22

How do you know the woman is round, did you see her?

Destinysdaughter · 26/10/2020 01:41

This thread is hilarious!

During the first strict lockdown, my neighbour, a single man in his thirties had his mum over in their garden. Did I report him? No I bloody didn't as they both could do with the support from each other. You're asking for trouble if you go ahead and report this. Just let people be. It's really hard going through a lockdown when you're on your own.

Put on some headphones if it bothers you that much!

Topseyt · 26/10/2020 01:42

Mind your own business. Anything else would be a twat move.

If you don't like what you can hear then just blast out Friggin in the Rigging by the Sex Pistols at top volume. That is guaranteed to stop them in their tracks.

ThePollutedShadesOfPemberley · 26/10/2020 01:53

I'm so glad I have no neighbours. Bloody owl hooting all frigging night but at least he has no opinion on my social habits. Grin

Corker1 · 26/10/2020 02:45

Who would you report this to?

To the Sex Police of course!

justilou1 · 26/10/2020 02:46

Maybe he didn’t pay the first one the agreed price?

Userzzz · 26/10/2020 03:11

Get yourself a life and mind your own business !!!!!

MrsMomoa · 26/10/2020 03:20

Check your facts. Single people are allowed a support bubble!
