Just asked this on a different thread but no response.
Bearing in mind the above, at what point teachers be happy to teach a full class of DC?

I thought we weren’t supposed to post threads about threads?

This OP has claimed repeatedly that teachers are posting nightly threads moaning but it actually just appears to be this poster complaining about teachers.

Not once has that poster stated that schools should be closed on mass. Have you actually read any of the threads?

That poster is simply stating what's really happening and highlight the fact that the government and the DfE are not telling is how it truly is.

StanfordPines · 22/10/2020 20:49

@Marcellemouse

She is posting nightly calling for closures. You asked for proof, there it is.
One poster? One poster is your proof that teachers are all running around demanding that schools close?
MrsHamlet · 22/10/2020 20:49

That's nonsense and you know it.
Bluewavescrashing · 22/10/2020 20:52

I'm in school every day teaching my year 1 class. As normal except extra handwashing. I'll be gutted if we close. No cases in my school yet.

Marcellemouse · 22/10/2020 20:52

@StanfordPines there's more than one teacher on that post.
Anyway, I'm allowing myself to get way too wound up so you'll be pleased to know I'm off.

And it’s very rude to basic start a thread about @noblegiraffe without telling her.

As for Didn't you lot discuss this all last night and today and yesterday and the day before?, the phrase ‘you lot’ is very divisive and people are free to discuss anything they damn well choose.

If you want to moan about a poster be upfront and do it to her face, rather than this nasty name calling behind her back.

Triangularbubble · 22/10/2020 20:54

OP I am reminded of the “somebody on the internet is wrong” cartoon. Seriously, let it go. Do you think education policy is decided by bickering on mumsnet and if you just shout loud enough you’ll “win” and Gavin will ensure you get what you want?

StanfordPines · 22/10/2020 20:54

No no no. You don’t get to pitch up and start a thread about nothing, complaining about people in and underhand way and then decide to fuck off when you realise the majority don’t agree.

Autumnleavestime · 22/10/2020 21:06

@Marcellemouse if I were you I'd just start hiding the threads.

We can all clearly see what goes on.

The Coronavirus topic has turned into the staff room. If you dare say anything to contradict a teacher you are ridiculed.

MrsHamlet · 22/10/2020 21:11

No one is ridiculing marcelle. We're simply pointing out specious arguments.

echt · 22/10/2020 21:12

If you say something misinformed, you will be corrected
if you start thread after thread after thread bashing teachers, they will be on to you.

HTH

That really isn’t true.

Autumnleavestime · 22/10/2020 21:12

Over on that other thread there's already a poster saying oh parents just don't like spending time with their dc and find it too overwhelming, that's why schools are open.

It's pathetic and disgusting

StanfordPines · 22/10/2020 21:13

Did someone say sock puppetry?

Jrobhatch29 · 22/10/2020 21:15

I agree @Marcellemouse just don't read them. The threads are all exactly the same and go round in circles. Just hide them and don't let it wind you up

Well well well I did not know until now you can hide threads Grin just hidden quite a few thanks @Jrobhatch29 i realise im probably late to the party with this revelation 🤦‍♀️😄

Post something to pull them up on it then, better than moaning here.

noblegiraffe · 23/10/2020 16:37

@Marcellemouse

That OP did the same last night. And the night before that. Have you read it? They're currently discussing how best to home educate secondary school. The OP may be vulnerable and be fearful but enough is enough.
Oh wow, bitching about me when I'm not on the thread. Poor show.

I didn't start a thread the night before, or the night before that. I don't want schools to close, I want schools to be made safer so that they will actually have a chance of staying open, and I want the government to be honest about the risks.

Which you'd know if you had ever actually read any of my posts.

Awaiting your apology.

SmileEachDay · 23/10/2020 17:25

@noblegiraffe

Happy half term lovely!

noblegiraffe · 23/10/2020 17:28

You too Smile! :)

StanfordPines · 23/10/2020 19:14

I think you’ll be waiting a long time there @noblegiraffe.
Mouse seems to have only a vague grip on the truth as opposed to what she wants to read.

Bluewavescrashing · 23/10/2020 19:33

@noblegiraffe ignore the trolls. They have no idea.

If you're on half term this week, hope you have a relaxing break.
