Probably to waffle he's glad Andy Burnham is putting party politics aside and welcoming the fact Manchester is going into teir 3 and people on minimum wage will now be living on £6.50 an hour instead.
And he will make it sound like he understands how hard it is.

Why are people perpetuating these figures?
Rishi has already said that the decrease in income will mean the employee can claim more benefits. Ultimately they will get the equivalent of 90% of their pay. Is that really so bad?
If you're in debt, relying on foodbanks to feed yourself & the family, barely managing to pay the rent each month, & have to choose between heating the house over the winter or buying school uniform for your children each year, & fall into one of the gaps which means you're unable to claim benefits, it is quite bad, yes.
Do you not read the MN threads every autumn & winter with links to cheap recipes & tips on how to feed your family of 4 for a day for about £1.50, how to keep warm without putting the heating on, how to manage getting clothes dry with no tumble dryer & no working radiators?
