Results waiting times

How long are people currently waiting for test results in London? My youngest ds had a test this afternoon, and need results ASAP obviously, so I know whether or not we need to self isolate

I posted a test to Glasgow in a priority postbox at 12 noon on Saturday and the result has just been emailed through now.

My mother in law recently had a minor operation, so she had to take a COVID test 3 days before, they told her to 'assume' it was negative if she hadn't heard anything within 48 hours!

That makes no sense, unless they prioritise informing people with positive results over people with negative ones??

Yep! And it came back positive too!

I posted mine back Thursday lunchtime and got the results early hours of Sunday morning, so less than 3 days including the time for the Royal Mail to get the box from East Midlands to Glasgow.

I've finally had mine back, took about 70 hours in total (London walk in). It was negative.

Mine arrived after 19 days. Not joking! I'm in London.
