Does anyone avoid shops and shop online?

@Viv0321 I had to go into my large town this morning after £40 boots for DD fell apart after 5 wears.

I bought them online but the 9 minute (seriously) train journey and 5 minute walk to the shop was horrible.

When I had lots of cash to spare I was a total shopaholic; loved the experience etc.

Zero social distancing in the street - I got bumped into by two people in the 10 minute walk - and large groups fannying about.

Depressing. So many shops shut.

Yes. Started that in March & never stopped.

BamboozledandBefuddled · 24/10/2020 13:51

The only shops I've been in since March are Aldi for the main weekly shopping trip, Tesco for the bits that Aldi don't sell and pharmacy as needed. Everything else comes from Amazon. I've also stopped going to pubs, restaurants, cafes, etc since masks became law in them.

I hated shops before COVID, full of rude people invading your personal space, I definitely won’t be going back!

I try to support our high street.

Very sad future if we lose that community aspect!

Yes, I shop almost exclusively online and I don't even have to traipse to the post office now for returns as postie is going to collect parcels for a small fee

No point supporting my local high street as all there is are mobile phone shops, hairdressers, coffee shops and charity shops. It use to be great but since the rents have risen they mostly moved to a different town. So I'll just buy online and do food shop online

Yes but not for safety concerns, just because it's a faff to go shopping with 2 kids and even more of a faff now I have to wear a mask and social distance while shopping with 2 kids.
