Would you wear a mask at home if made mandatory?

Just seeing if anybody would go along with it.

What worries me is that someone can post something so utterly preposterous and get so many people replying. Including me 😳

Tanfastic · 10/10/2020 13:53

Absolutely no fucking way.

Funkypolar · 10/10/2020 13:54

Just wait a few weeks...

No!! I live by myself so I'd look a bit of a nob really!!

BathtubGin · 10/10/2020 13:57

Full gimp everyday here anyway

Hopeisnotastrategy · 10/10/2020 13:57

This is a ridiculous goady post.

redbushtea · 10/10/2020 13:58

Absolutely not. This is getting ridiculous.

QueenBlueberries · 10/10/2020 13:58

I think there is a chance that it could become recommended to wear a mask if you are caring for someone who has tested positive at home. It will never, ever become 'law'.

I think OP you are just trying to put a bit fat spoon in the shit bucket and stir it as much as you can. There's really no need.

Funkypolar · 10/10/2020 14:02

If you think I’m being goady you are free to report to Mumsnet! ❤️

Yes, I have one all the time. Its a sort of hag/witch thing.

Wingedharpy · 10/10/2020 14:05

Only if I can wear it with a matching bobble hat - or balaclava.

ParisOnWheels · 10/10/2020 14:05

It’s something I’ve been debating. I have carers coming in, they wear masks and I said all along I would if they asked me too. But with new evidence that mask help protect the wearer too and increasing cases I might just start wearing one.

Not a chance

ClementineWoolysocks · 10/10/2020 14:08

For the love of all that's holy why the feck is someone often sharing a toothbrush?

timeforanewstart · 10/10/2020 14:14

No

Aragog · 10/10/2020 14:14

No. It would be totally unenforceable too.

MiracletoCome · 10/10/2020 14:15

I do, doesn't everyone, or just me then.

Aragog · 10/10/2020 14:17

Although, to be fair if I was working in someone's home I probably would if I was within closish contact with them.

And I would do so if caring for someone who tested positive or had symptoms, and would want them to as well.

I would also consider it if I had carers coming in to care for me and who were in close contact. Or if I had a mobile hairdresser etc in my home.

But they are totally different scenarios to just wearing one in my home with just my family and invited visitors here.

Not a chance

Devlesko · 10/10/2020 14:20

I wouldn't see the point tbh, why would you?

Lilybet1980 · 10/10/2020 14:20

If I had tested positive and was isolating from the rest of the family I would wear a mask if I had to move around the house.

Plussizejumpsuit · 10/10/2020 14:22

No. This won't happen it makes no sense

MrsMayo · 10/10/2020 14:22

I'm trying not to think about it.
