@Emmie12345

Why is it bad if a woman to be on holiday?

dingledongle · 24/09/2020 14:40

I know she is not technically breaking the rules however it is not in the 'spirit' of the guidance or 'common sense' as BJ referred to the other evening!

roarfeckingroarr · 24/09/2020 14:42

I can't see the problem. She's not an elected politician. Italy is exempt. The taxpayer isn't paying for her holiday. Leave the girl alone.

Blimeyoreilly2020 · 24/09/2020 14:42

Ha, Bozza’s poverty pleas are not quite so convincing now....terrifyingly detached from the real world this lot...but that shouldn’t be a surprise at this point should it😒

ZarasHouse · 24/09/2020 14:43

Why do I never see a picture of any famous people using baby equipment correctly? Sort that baby carrier out!

LastTrainEast · 24/09/2020 14:44

@LindainLockdown

One rule for them and another for the plebs. Naturally.
But you can go to Italy if you want. What is the problem?
ZarasHouse · 24/09/2020 14:48

Obviously posh babies are meant to be carried sideways, my mistake

@SheepandCow

Perhaps Tony Blair is one of the Godparents.
😂
Batshitbeautycosmeticsltd · 24/09/2020 14:52

So what? Doubt she cares what internet randoms think of it all.

StarCat2020 · 24/09/2020 15:00

Are people really sure she hasn't just squished Boris into a carrier as a disguise so that they can go on a secret holiday together?
Really wish I had not read this because I can't get the image out of my mind.

OpenlyGayExOlympicFencer · 24/09/2020 16:57

Made me wonder if she might be sufficiently pissed off with Boris that she isn't willing to give up a holiday to avoid exposing him to criticism.

JumperTime · 24/09/2020 17:06

Maybe she's just testing her eyesight 🤓

MsTSwift · 24/09/2020 17:08

What’s wrong with going to Italy? Nothing stopping you they not on quarantine list - we had a wonderful time there in the summer

Bluntness100 · 24/09/2020 17:12

Carrie has her own finances as she works. So can easily pay for her own holidays

I also read somewhere she’s very independent and just fucks off when she feels like it, not giving a shit.

Good for her.

She hasn’t switched the leg buttons to inward facing mode. Quelle horreur!

Really? I think most people can understand that she is the person taking the perfectly legal holiday and realise this isn't a care for criticism

AnyFucker · 24/09/2020 17:22

Her blonde hair was pulled back in a bun at the top of her head, revealing brunette roots

Says it all, really

Of course it's a lovely place. But when you are the partner of the person who broadcast to the nation two days ago to tell the public there were sacrifices to be made, and that people are going to lose their jobs and their lives and that we must all pull together it's a bit rich to see yet another of his inner circle buggering off on a foreign holiday. Don't forget Boris advocated the staycation to the British public this summer.

Carrie's had her babyshower, Wilfred's christening, her family trip to Scotland and now her pals trip to Italy. They've really reined themselves in this year as Boris asks everyone else to make sacrifices!

enyemaka · 24/09/2020 17:30

It’s dilettante behaviour. We as a nation are blamed and patronised for the failures of dealing with COVID and while BoJo rebukes us she’s wandering round Italy. I’m a teacher and if I went away in the October half term, and then needed to quarantine, I wouldn’t be paid. Like lots of others who would be sanctioned for a much needed holiday. That’s why it’s annoying - the rest of us are being told to behave and they are doing what they like. Sticks in the craw despite the legally.

enyemaka · 24/09/2020 17:31

Legality 🙄

480Widdio · 24/09/2020 17:35

@loobyloo1234,you haven’t read the rules correctly,Italy is one of the Countries that is exempt!

MsTSwift · 24/09/2020 17:36

You don’t need to quarantine for Italy it’s rates lower than ours.

I’m no fan of Boris far from it but think it’s unfair to criticise her she is not breaking any laws and isn’t an elected politician herself.

As a kid both my parents were teachers and I used to get hell for it so I actually feel quite strongly that it’s very unfair for people to attack anyone due to the job their family member happens to do.

Sanitiser · 24/09/2020 17:37

I would like to go away over half term but work in social care and my boss has made it clear that staff who go away are not taking it seriously and that in my particular role I would be a bad role model to other staff - it would be so frowned upon. Surely she should know it isn’t a smart move when we are being told to limit contact? A plane isn’t really the rule of 6, unless she flew privately.

StarCat2020 · 24/09/2020 17:38

I think there is more to this break with GFs to Italy than just a holiday?

Like getting away from a partner who is cheating maybe?

Mumratheevergiving · 24/09/2020 17:43

Well if your family member happens to be the Prime Minister of the country who has been throwing his weight about telling everyone else what they can do, there's going to be a bit more judgement on what your family get up to!
