They all could have had Covid tests to be able to get on the plane, in which case there is no need for her and her friend to SD.

My FB is full of people in Turkey, in packed bars, most of them will be coming back and going to work in Care Homes and across Social Care, Carrie's holiday will be much cleaner than Marmaris and she will be taking all necessary precautions to protect them all and more than likely limiting social contacts when she gets back.

I hate the Tory party, but she is entitled to be on holiday.

slipperywhensparticus · 24/09/2020 13:23

Yes there last holiday was disturbed but he is the fucking prime minister he needs to be doing his job she could have stayed on holiday

Ponoka7 · 24/09/2020 13:23

"Nobody is entitled to a holiday really are they"

We're all entitled to spend our time and money, legally, however we choose.

PicsInRed · 24/09/2020 13:25

@Gasp0deTheW0nderD0g

Is this connected with the Italian paper's report that Boris nipped over to Perugia with C and W so that W could be christened over there? That's all I know about that, just based on seeing a few tweets. All most odd.
Almost inevitably. Unless she was actually holidaying with Tony Blair.

DC's people will be along shortly to tell you to hush your mouth and that everyone has a right to a holiday. Grin

VirginiaWolverine · 24/09/2020 13:30

It's nice to see that they've recovered from last week's financial difficulties.

Mrsjayy · 24/09/2020 13:33

It's nice to see that they've recovered from last week's financial difficulties.

It must have been such a worry for them!

Cornettoninja · 24/09/2020 13:33

I’m sure Carrie has her own finances in order (she’d be daft not to - Boris’s must look like a spider web).

SunbathingDragon · 24/09/2020 13:37

Carrie isn’t responsible for government decisions and I don’t think should be a target for paps.

Personally I think she has already shown she makes bad decisions by having sex with Boris but each to their own!

AmusedBoosh · 24/09/2020 13:40

Without getting into the morality of unecessary travel during a global pandemic...surely someone should have had a word with her about the optics.

Or is Carrie pissed of at playing second fiddle (violin) and wants to undermine BJ.

SheepandCow · 24/09/2020 13:51

Perhaps Tony Blair is one of the Godparents.

luckylavender · 24/09/2020 13:53

Maybe she's not still his girlfriend?

Yetiyoga · 24/09/2020 14:06

Oh that is great to know. Can I get a test when my niece arrives so I can have a cuddle then? Fab. I had no idea that tests were so easy to get. I thought there was a national shortage.

SheepandCow · 24/09/2020 14:10

Carrie has already had Covid. She had it when Boris did.

Tests are easy to get (with quick results).
In Italy.

slipperywhensparticus · 24/09/2020 14:11

there is no proof you get immunity though
Yetiyoga · 24/09/2020 14:14

I don't care that she is on holiday. I don't care that she has already had covid. We are supposed to be socially distancing. It isn't setting a good example. I wish I could get a test and then stop social distancing but it isn't allowed.

Redolent · 24/09/2020 14:15

The baby should be in inward facing mode with the headrest up, if he’s napping.

Completely irrelevant I know.

SheepandCow · 24/09/2020 14:16

@slipperywhensparticus
That's true. Which is why Italians are no doubt relieved that anyone arriving at Italian airports is tested - with results just several hours later. I should imagine they're extra careful when it's someone arriving from a high risk area like the UK.

CalmYoBadSelf · 24/09/2020 14:25

I thought there was an air bridge to Italy so travel was allowed?
We went away recently, the guidance said "avoid travel but essential except for the countries listed below" and the one we had booked a holiday in over 12 months earlier happened to be on that.
I think this is totally irrelevant and just being used as yet another thing to pick at and moan about

time4anothername · 24/09/2020 14:29

we were told that she had Covid badly and I presume she's had an antibody test and may have had a strong response. Tiny possibility that she could get it again so quickly surely? Private tests for both active virus and antibodies will cost you less than a night in that hotel if you want to keep monitoring, maybe her mates are doing that?

It is another thing though that will cause lots of the public to say FU, not going to comply with rules.

emptyshelvesagain · 24/09/2020 14:32

''The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) currently advises British nationals against all but essential international travel''

People will say she is entitled to a holiday. But this is taken from the gov.uk website. Its actually infuriating and gives out mixed messages

Not if you read the bit underneath your quote....

Travel to some countries and territories is currently exemptedd_.

Itsabeautifuldayheyhey · 24/09/2020 14:33

Italy is exempt from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office advice against all but essential international travel, meaning you can go there on holiday.

emptyshelvesagain · 24/09/2020 14:34

Oh, that wasn't supposed to be a link and actually links to a different page but the information is the same.

Lots of countries are exempt from the advice not to travel and unsurprisingly Italy is one of them.

stoptheworldiwant2getoff · 24/09/2020 14:35

Any excuse for a moan ey?

emptyshelvesagain · 24/09/2020 14:37

@LindainLockdown

One rule for them and another for the plebs. Naturally.

'Plebs' are allowed to go to Italy too
