Are schools the reason for the surge?

Thousands of people mixing daily with no social distancing.

Children pass the virus on, as BJ has said recently (despite previously saying otherwise).

Surely even if other measures are put in place, the numbers will continue to rise?

Are schools behind the surge?

@Itisasecret

Maybe spend some time being more proactive on lobbying the government to keep schools open then? Testing would be a good start. Instead of spending all day following each other on a parenting forum!
Ha making me laugh. Why so interested in what we post (don’t think I’ve come across Time much). Maybe you should lobby instead of posting false timelines.

We had a Year 8 dc come in on first day -fri 3 September - with symptoms. On Monday they went to matron, feeling ill. Did not mention having a Covid test..

They were then sick and parents collected them. Turned out they had Covid symptoms in the last week of the hols. Had a test Thursday - the day before school opened - yet parents sent them to school. HmmHmm

Very angry letter from HT, tutor group and bus group isolated. Result? One other positive test in the last two weeks.

I'd have thought it would be many more 🤷🏼‍♀️

The issue I have is we do not know yet. Listen to the information rather than speculate.

And I’m not for pt it us true as it brings more issues than it solves.

Also take it week by week and decide from there.

That should get them a fine!

Timeforanotherusername · 21/09/2020 20:20

its thats a petty response!

So we'll leave it there.

@SirVixofVixHall

Teachers are being expected to work with virtually no safety measures in place at all. It is absolutely crazy. I know several people left with permanent health conditions due to Covid, I don’t want this to happen to my dc’s teachers. I don’t think anyone should have to work in conditions like this. Nor do I think families should have to choose between educating their children or risking their health.
Thank you. I agree (secondary teacher married to another one!).ThanksThanks

Schools have contributed to the increase imho. Lack of social distancing, concept of bubbles are ridiculous, lack of PPE, parents gathering at school gates and igoringing staggered times. In addition the dark cloud of ofsted looms. Insane!
