One health professional, only symptoms loss of taste and smell and fatigue, well recovered; one who struggled at home with some breathlessness but recovered; one very fit with physical job who caught it early on, was hospitalised and is still not recovered enough to work; one elderly who died with Covid but not of it; and two retired but not elderly who also sadly died. Condolences all who have lost friend and loved ones. Also know someone who had a strange flu around Christmas and lost taste and smell for some weeks.

1 - my sister who was deployed to a covid ward.

She had a blocked nose and a headache for 3 days. She has severe asthma, so we were terrified. She’s been absolutely fine, no lasting effects at all. Tested positive for antibodies.

Six. Three physiotherapists (my colleagues) and three paramedics (dh's colleagues) One physio and one paramedic although back at work are still significantly ill.

4 in total.

3 at the start of lockdown (felt rough but recovered within the week)

1 just out of self isolation (very mild symptoms and wouldn't have know about it without testing).

LeahDownTheLane · 30/08/2020 23:24

Tested positive 2, family member and friend.

ComDummings · 30/08/2020 23:24
  1. 1 died (young) the rest fine. I also know 2 people who killed themselves over the last month and I think lockdown really exacerbated those situations.

  1. One died.
Girraffophant · 30/08/2020 23:30

6 people I personally know had it - a neighbour was in icu for many weeks with it, but is home and ok now.
I know of quite a few others - mainly through husband's work or friends of friends.

Girraffophant · 30/08/2020 23:31

I also know of a lockdown suicide 😔

@iwantmyownicecreamvan
I’m so terribly sorry for you loss . That’s very sad .
I know 17 people including myself. 9 died (2 were family members ) other 7 were friends or colleagues and 2 previous colleagues.
Not all in the same part of the country .

PyongyangKipperbang · 30/08/2020 23:35

I only know of 2 because they both died back in April with it. After that, no idea.

RhiantheMunter · 30/08/2020 23:36

  1. All under 50. 1 mid 30s. All fully fit and healthy. All mild cases recovered at home but all 3 now having health problems 3 or 4 months later . 1 has several newly diagnosed clots his consultant thinks is related to Covid.

They all thought they'd fully recovered so it's quite disturbing. Too early to know if all 3 ongoingbissues is down to Covid or not though.

I didn't know her but a health worker and mum to a 13yo died on our small town from Covid. Sad

  1. They were unconscious in ICU for 18 days, but somehow pulled through. They are now facing a serious rehab battle and may never regain their former health.
Strangeday21 · 30/08/2020 23:39

1 confirmed positive back in April their partner tested negative and antibody test came back negative she works in an hospital.
1 who had the antibody test and confirmed that they had it - but unsure when they did as no symptoms - their partner antibody came back negative.

ParisOnWheels · 30/08/2020 23:46

I know two who’ve definitely had it, including one elderly person in a care home whose recovered and doing well.

I’ve also heard through the grapevine that two people I used to know (but have lost touch with) have had it. I can see on social media that one of those had it confirmed by test and now has long covid. And a friend thinks her mum had it.

1 hospitalised, but now recovering. 2 more who think they had it early on.

HappyTuesdays · 30/08/2020 23:55
  1. Two died, two have long tail, three got through although it took one of them a while.
Mothership4two · 30/08/2020 23:55

3 - 2 deaths

None in the last 2 months

Consideredopinion · 30/08/2020 23:55

Is the OP coming back to deliver their conclusion I wonder 🤔
