East Yorks but lots of friends in the south-east too - I know a few people who probably had it (all the classic symptoms) back in March, but at that point they were only testing the seriously ill so none of them were confirmed. They all recovered pretty quickly & are fine now. I don't know anyone who has had it more recently or anyone who has tested positive

Daisyboots · 31/08/2020 08:23

6, 3 of who have died. Cousin and wife, who were v poorly but ok. 3 elderly men (friend's fathers) who were in care homes, and a teacher who was only in his 40s. x

Daisyboots · 31/08/2020 08:24

Sorry I mean 4 have died x

Jrobhatch29 · 31/08/2020 08:24

My friends dad tested positive after contact with another confirmed case. 60s with multiple health conditions. Was asymptomatic

Northernsoulgirl45 · 31/08/2020 08:27

O confirmed thankfully. My teenage dd reckons she may have had it Jan/February time.
I am sceptical as she never passes it on but tbf she is a bit of a teenage hermit so I guess we will never know.
Sorry to those who lost people or know people who are still ill.

Aozora13 · 31/08/2020 08:27

My household = 4
My uncles household = 4
Colleagues = 4
Friends = 7 (including 2 hcps who got routine tests but were asymptomatic)

So that’s 19 - all in London but 2. I’m not counting my overseas colleagues (one of whom died). All sick in March, before or around lockdown. All but 1 under 45.

Of those, 3 of us got the long-tail version, 1 of whom was hospitalised. I’m just about fully recovered but have been ill for 5 months including 2 months off work.

Sending Flowers to everyone who has lost someone to this bastard virus

newmumwithquestions · 31/08/2020 08:29

No confirmed cases that I personally know. But 2 friends relatives have - both died.

Also several unconfirmed cases, before tests were widespread. All ok, and we’ll never know if they did have it.

MaryShelley1818 · 31/08/2020 08:29

Nobody in my immediate circle but a neighbour who works as a nurse has had it, a colleague's father died from it, and my friend who lives overseas - her mother has had it.

lissie123 · 31/08/2020 08:30

thepointoforder · 31/08/2020 08:33

JacobReesMogadishu · 31/08/2020 08:33

0 except me (pretty certain I had it in late Feb/early March, but not confirmed).

drinkingwineoutofamug · 31/08/2020 08:39

Too many but HCP . 2 neighbours died. 8 of close friends poorly . Me and my daughter (I'm still suffering side effects 2 months on). And a friend . She took her own life . Not because of lock down , but because of what she saw.

WhyAreWeHardOfThinking · 31/08/2020 08:40
  1. 1 died, 1 now in heart failure, 2 with issues after 4 months. Other 3 are relatively fine.

In addition, I had 2 parents at my high school die and we stopped sharing details of grandparents after around 8.

bookworm14 · 31/08/2020 08:44

Four who have actually had it, including myself. I had it very mildly despite an autoimmune condition; one of the other people was very unwell but not enough to be hospitalised.

I also know six people who have had positive antibody tests but no symptoms whatsoever.

buenavistabelle · 31/08/2020 08:45

Several Colleagues (NHS) with positive Swab results or antibodies. Some were ill at some point, some had no idea until antibody tests.
All recovered some took a bit longer. I am aware of staff in other departments passing away and being very sick too.

Luckily no friends or relatives in the community.

Purplequalitystreet · 31/08/2020 08:53

None thankfully. I know of a few friends of friends who have had it though
