Got tested this morning and waiting on the result. Feeling a bit jumpy & struggling to sleep. I don't feel ill at all but DH feels like he has a heavy cold.

Not me but DH was tested yesterday afternoon and had his negative result by 7.30 this morning so you shouldn't be waiting long.

sparkli · 21/07/2020 22:42

My DD20 was tested a couple of weeks ago. Had her test at 8am and a negative result at 6pm the same day, so hopefully ot won't be a long wait.

FeeeelixTheChat · 21/07/2020 22:43

We had ours at 10am, I was half hoping we'd have heard by now as I know the wait times are less than they were at the moment. Test centre was empty.

DH tested at 2pm on Sunday and the results came through at 7am Monday. Negative, thankfully.

Wowcherarestalkingme · 21/07/2020 22:49

Yes we are. Tested at 10.30 this morning as baby spiked a temperature. Has since become obvious that it’s an ear infection so guessing the results will be negative. Still it plays on your mind a bit

Maryann1975 · 21/07/2020 22:52

I’ve had two tests and For both (drive in and posted), I had the results within 24 hours, so hopefully you won’t be waiting too long.

FeeeelixTheChat · 21/07/2020 22:53

I hope they don't come through at 2 in the morning!

I have qwekly teste now for work, have them on Thursday and the results are normally in by 11am on the Friday.

FeeeelixTheChat · 21/07/2020 22:56

OK so really I ought to hear back tomorrow morning then. Bet the bloody thing was inconclusive, I don't think I swabbed properly.

DS & I had a test @ 11am on Monday & had -ve result by 9.30 in the evening.

YouBoggleMyMind · 21/07/2020 23:01

Waiting for my DS's results. He was test at 2pm today so hoping to know tomorrow morning. He got sent home from nursery with a mild fever that then disappeared and he's been fine since.

FeeeelixTheChat · 21/07/2020 23:10

Fx for you all! Feeling quite worried about the result although we've only had runny noses and one sore throat (DH).

Wowcherarestalkingme · 22/07/2020 09:06

We had ours back at 3am. Two negatives and one inconclusive 🙄 they weren’t sure which was which so got to do it again. I’m 99% sure DSs would be inconclusive as we could only do the nose and they said doing it that way is less reliable. Anyone else’s results in?

userxx · 22/07/2020 09:09

Why did you have a test if you don't feel ill? Is it for work reasons?

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/07/2020 09:43

See this is what I am nervous about @Wowcherarestalkingme DS was tested but how they expect to get a result from a child is beyond me. It was brutal for him 😔

Wowcherarestalkingme · 22/07/2020 10:24

It’s really unpleasant for an adult never mind a child. Think I’m going to wait until he’s asleep to try again (ordered a home kit this time)

YouBoggleMyMind · 22/07/2020 12:14

Just got DS's results back and it's negative 👍🏻 phew!

LunaLoveFood · 22/07/2020 12:15

I was tested at lunchtime and had the results 8am next morning. (Negative)

OverTheRainbow88 · 22/07/2020 12:25

You got tested for a runny nose and sore throat?

Wowcherarestalkingme · 22/07/2020 12:42

@YouBoggleMyMind that’s great news

userxx · 22/07/2020 13:37

I dont understand why you got tested if you dont feel ill. Is this a new thing ? Can anyone be tested without symptoms ?

Wowcherarestalkingme · 22/07/2020 13:39

It seems you can get tested with no symptoms. DH and I needed it for work and baby was ill. We submitted our details at the same time. It asks if you have symptoms and when you say no, you can still carry on to book a test

okiedokieme · 22/07/2020 14:05

There's walk up centres here, some people are going every week apparently

userxx · 22/07/2020 15:18

I can understand it being a requirement for work but utterly bizarre to get tested randomly especially if showing no symptoms. Very odd.

FeeeelixTheChat · 22/07/2020 16:24

I was advised to get tested by the Zoe app.

It was negative by the way.

In countries with effective test and trace systems there are a much longer list of symptoms you need to get tested for, including runny nose, sore throat and gastro symptoms.
